HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought of a resolution the other day, but I've forgotten what it was now. Old age is not for the weak of mind, I guess........

For many years since our marriage my husband and I have written resolutions for each other, not ourselves, always with a goodly dose of humor to soften the blow. Then at the end of the year we grade the person.

It has been a lot of fun believe it or not. Last night after dinner (supper whatever) to celebrate we got out the (small) box containing all the previous resolutions (we missed some years), and re-read them all (by candlelight-ooooo!) and had a good laugh or two seeing how life changed and we changed to a degree through what life brings to most folks: adjusting to living in different states, less than perfect jobs and job changes, having to be flexible around job travels and keeping up with technology, and being too long a distance from relatives, surviving depression and surgeries, wondering about finances and surviving set-backs , adding children and questions about our chilld-rearing, surviving going back to school struggles, home maintenance that never seemed to get close to being finished, and trying to hit a good sane balance in everything (Ha! didn't ever succeed in that one!). Upon re-reading we felt totally blessed by God. He kept us through it all.

:D :D

No resolutions for me this year....Life is spectacular........ Usually my resolution is to loose weight, but I have lost 40 pounds and have ten more to go...... But I do have to say that last night was one of the best nights for a very long time..... Hubby and I went out for dinner and had a great steak and then he took me dancing........ It was so much fun... I am paying for it this morning with my knee, but it is worth it........ I am so thankful that my hubby can even dance... It could of been a very differant story....... Anyway hello 08, I'm sure it's going to be a very fun and exciting year.............

I've never been one to do resolutions...I prefer to call em goals! I have 2 goals this year...1. Clean out the storage room...22yrs of putting stuff there for I'll get to it one of these days...2. Keep up-to-date on the computer cow work...it is more of a procrastination problem..lol I figure I've got 365 days to get those 2 things done... Other than that...Life is Good! :D

Way to go, Katrina!!! and W-O-W!!! Good for you.

I'm glad you got to go dancing...doesn't seem like people go dancing as they used to...I remember when we could dance the night way...

Remember the dances in the Communtiy Halls where you took your kids and they had such a good time; got to dance with mom or dads; then fell asleep on the chairs and had to be picked up and carried out the the car to go home? Those were the days!!!
