Well, This Is It!

I start working 4 days a week tomorrow........so I won't be able to be here nearly as much as I have in the past. I'll be gone on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The "boss" is already trying to get me to add a weekend day or two to my schedule, don't know what I'm going to do about that.

Today, Hubby also found out that he's got a cowboy job, right here! He and Al start tending the TS cattle tomorrow.....they are real excited about it, but Hunky will only be making $800 a month, Al will get paid when they brand or fix fence, otherwise, he's volunteering for experience.

Brought Peachy (mare in siggy line) home this evening, so Hubby can have another mount, and she's not going to have a colt this year, so can be "used". Got some really great pics of the yearlings and branding down to his folk's place on Saturday......but don't have a clue when I'll be able to get them loaded and share.

Just know that you all are more than friends to me, you're more like family, and I'm gonna miss the heck outta each and every one of ya...... I'll get back to check in and let you know what's going on here, and find out what's new in your lives, as well.

Take care of yourselves, and have a most joyous spring season! Hope to see ya real soon........

Good luck on your new job.

It seems that cowboy wages are pretty low in your area, My son would like to cowboy but he is making to much money driving truck but up here the feedlots are competing with the oil patch so even pen riding is big money. To bad a big strapping boy like Al couldn't find something that he didn't have to volunteer at. School boys need a little jingle in their pockets. The combine crews are advertising for help. $2,500 plus room and board .
Take care and keep in touch.

Lilly, I'm looking through my pics right now! :D

BigMuddy, yep, they sure are low, and that's if you can even find one! The dadgum forest circus and envirofreaks about have ranching shut down completely around here. Makes me dern mad. :x
Got a bit of good news yesterday, though. When they found out that Hubby quit his construction job to play cowboy again, another ranch has offered him part time work for them, at about $5-600 a month. And they'll pay Al some, too.......and probably a beef a year. Could end up being a pretty good deal for my guys. :D Another good thing, besides Al getting experience at the job he dearly wants to do, it's one of his 4-H projects again this year......

My step son-in-law works on a farm at New Norway AB for his brother in law.
I think he only gets 1500.00 a month, but the house is supplied. Has to pay own utilities ect. No where near enough to keep a family afloat in AB these days. :?
And he has to put up with his idiot brother in law. I guess he's a real jerk to work for so I'm told.
