As all ranchers this time of year, we've been a tad bit busy with bringing cows home from summer pastures, weaning, preg cking, branding Fall calves and suffering through crappy weather...oh well gotta luv ranching!

Some really cool shots there Jassy...in more ways than one.
Love the first one! And the one with the sunrise through the wagon wheel,
oh, and several in-between. Terrific photos.
Your kid has more beard than Kosmo, but maybe he's been
at it longer. :p

So what do you do with your spring calves? Do you wean them?

I'm tuckered out dealing with 1/4 of the distance and 1/3 of the of the cows. It was an awesome photo essay to come in and look at after a long day as well.

Fantastic post Jassy! You really took some spectacular pics :D . That would be quite the trail drive. Your cattle look nice, and I'm sure you'll be happy when your fall work is done :D .

Thanks everyone...
FH...my kid has been growing that stuff since a senior in HS..lol and my boys are so use to "posing" for me..they just do it and don't gripe to much..lol
This year we're keeping the replacement heifers at home, and shipping the rest and the steers to a feedlot, and when the market explodes we'll be ready to sell..lol

Justin...It's a long day..lol Drove an hour to get to the pasture before 6:00a.m, got to the destination pasture at 2:30p.m, sat on em awhile to pair up..finally got home at 6:30 p.m.

WR...and yes another week of weaning, pregin, shippin, more computerwork, moving cows around, sorting..so yes I will be glad when this "fall" work is over..hopefully before winter!
