I've included the links to the entire article. My emphasis.

Our Canadian friends are having second thoughts:
The NDP Leader Jack Layton called for an immediate halt to sending more Canadian troops to Afghanistan, warning that Canada must not "drift into a war blindly."

NATO says, hey, we weren't the one attacked.
NATO-led soldiers to deploy next year to insurgency-hit southern Afghanistan will not take over counter-terrorist operations conducted by US-led forces, a spokesman said Monday.

And even  NEWSMAX tells us that things are not going well in Afghanistan. What a mess. Thanks, George.

Amidst the opium-producing poppy fields and among the old stomping grounds of Osama bin Laden, the Taliban is growing again in Afghanistan. Arnaud de Borchgrave, editor at large for United Press International, told Fox News Channel Monday that the fiercely anti-Western Muslim fundamentalists are regaining control of portions of Afghanistan and Pakistan, which is "good news for Osama bin Laden.”
De Borchgrave visited Afghanistan before the Asian earthquake where the Taliban "seems to be spreading its wings” again where once they had been driven away by U.S. and Pakistani troops.
"It was quite clear that the Taliban has control of some areas,” de Borchgrave said. "The Pakistanis seem to be focusing on al-Qaida, but not the Taliban. There’s no question that the Taliban is gaining strength.”

NATO says, hey, we weren't the one attacked.

The core of NATO is Article V of the NATO Treaty, which states:

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all.

Maybe the liberal press should have read that before making such a stupid comment.........

NDP Leader Jack Layton called for an immediate halt to sending more Canadian troops............,
after realizeing thier Guns had been consficated, in an effort to appease the liberal left.......

"No negotiating with terrorists" leaves war as their only option.

Maybe if you in your dilusional world could show a few examples where the United States attacked or commited unprovoked war against another country prior to 9-11, that infuriated the terrorists,

most records show attacks that the terrorists attacked US interests around the world while we negotiated with them, until they "got our attention" on September 11, when thier declared war came to our shores......

I can not believe how simple minds want to negotiate with terrorists, what are we going to give them? several hundred virgins?
