Builders are due on Thursday. Plumber is coming on Monday and they are going to pour the floor after he is done.

Hopefully in a few weeks I will post pictures of our house completely up.

Now I can get back to hauling hay home.

Better believe it BMR. Have a set of double doors going in that are 6' wide. Won't have to haul anything up and down the stairs.

Did get a surprise call on Thursday though from our log supplier. The yard guys were looking at the floor plan and not the order.
They built a custom made porch for our house.
we were going to wait on that. They cut the price for it in half since they couldn't just sell it to just anybody and it was their mistake. So I have my porch too.
Won't put it up right away, but we are going to put the logs in shed until we can put it up.

Looking good- I Luv Herfrds.... You made me think back- and it was 32 years ago that we started the project on our "new" house...We got a little later in the year start than you did- but were in it by Thanksgiving...

From what I can see, the walls came out pretty smooth. Did they use a vibrator in them when they were pouring?

Yes burnt they did. I was sure glad to see that.

Plumber called and cancelled this morning because he was only going to be here for half the day and he wanted a full day to do it all. Going to be here tomorrow. Suppose to be cooler too.
Got the guy who is going to put on the waterproofing coming tomorrow too.
Slab will be poured on Wednesday.
Builders will be here on Friday, they are running a day behind.

Our lineman came out today and moved an overhead powerline.

It is going to be a dry in right now and we are going to work on it over the next couple of years.

Denny putting the porch on would run us over $12,000 right now. We are not doing this with a loan but with money we saved up.

I also got the 2010 quarter for the slab. The crew likes to put a quarter in a corner of all the slabs they pour for houses. They believe it brings good luck.
So I got the quarter.

We agreed we would not move into the house until it is done. My parents house is still not finished, 30 years later.
