What are bred heifers bringing?

Looking for a load of good solid black bred heifers for late winter calving Feb-March. Prefer synched and AI'd. Anybody have any numbers on what they're bringing. Looked at a couple private treaty groups that are wanting $1400/hd. Seems a little high, but trying to feel out the market. Thanks.

I spent the afternoon at a Bred cow sale...Market was pretty good if you were a seller...Dispersion herd young cows (3-4) were over $1300--5 to 7's were $1200- 1260 --Short term solid mouths $680-- short term brokenmouths $600-620....
Bred heifers (either black or red) were $1200- 1225....

I stayed for about 3 hours and the price wasn't weakening any- and they will still probably be selling bred cows until 9-10PM.... :roll:
