I believe it is important to have goals in life because it is something to look forward to accomplishing and make life even more meaningful.

The following are my short-term goals (One year from now):

1. Take horseback riding lessons
2. Improve my golf skills
3. Volunteer in my community while in school
4. Take a road trip across country and visit historical places this summer
5. Take a Mandarin class
5. Finish my masters in 2012.
6. Work for a good company that specialize in imports/exports

What are your short-term goals?

1. A good night's sleep sometime in the next month.

2. Survive the rigors of today.

3. Refer to #1

4. Repeat. :D
That is about what I was thinking except it needs to be a long sleep. Anything over 2 days is a long term goal. Meeting at the golf course on Wednesday. Too much snow so we are going to watch hockey and Lament the snow.

In his youth, my dad helped a hard-working rancher for several months. No matter what the day's itinerary was or how much they accomplished, as they unsaddled or unharnessed and headed in to supper, the ol' rancher always said, "Well, we didn't get much done today but we'll give 'er hell tomorrow."

to kneel acoss the corner of the bed each night hold hands with my bride and thank God for everything we have and have gotten done this day.
If you have that as a goal you never go to bed mad at each other. :!:

gcreekrch,

I think our minds are connected; I am sleep deprived for the past three weeks working on projects among other things. The little things sure make a difference in our lives.

Hi LRAF,
Thank you for contributing to this discussion. Yes, I agreed with you, I too prayed to survived the class I ended on Wednesday; my teacher was an impossible person to deal with. As I am writing to you tonight, I too I am grateful that it is over and I look for forward to a new class on Monday.

I figure if you wake up in the morning, you got 80% of the days worries beat....

Jigs,
Very true! I make sure to write down the things that I am grateful for every night so that God will allow me the opportunity to stay on Earth another day! :D

Amen! Going to bed mad with your significant other is not a pleasant thing. Giving thanks for what we have each day is music to God's ears.

A game of hockey sounds like fun...
