Seems the Dem's and Al Qaeda both have something in common. They are toasting and throwing parties celebrating the Democratic win in the last election and Rumsfeld stepping down.

Believe a member of Al Qaeda released a tape today celebrating the Dem's win.

Good to see who the Democrats Base is!

I am sure the news will turn a little more positive now. Every time Congress votes in some tiny law, we will hear how it will solve Global Warming, Save the Whales, bring us closer to Peace and Security.

David Ramsey, the financial guru had some wise words about
raising the miniumum wage today. It is well worth reading.
I'm going to check out his website and see if it is there.

The libs say raising the minimum wage will help 5 million people
who are dependent on minimum wage to support their families.
The government says there are 217 thousand people who depend
solely on miniumum wage to support their familes.

Looks like the libs uses a liberal number. Ramsey says that raising
the minimum wage is not going to help the people getting paid
minimum wage.

I'll be back. Going to check this out.

None of my employees will be getting raises. But when they go to take their families to McDonald's they will see the price of a value meal has went up. Making it harder to feed their families.

But the upside my 16 year old will like it, more money to buy CD's, gas to cruise main St.

Liberals view Minimum wage much like Welfare. Keep them Poor and give them enough to make them think they are happy and they will stay poor and vote for them.

Never understood why people would vote for a party that is for people being poor. They would sure hate to loose their base.

Minimum wage was never meant to be a way of life, it was meant as a starting point. Something you get when you first enter the working world, then you look for a better job and you move up in life. You do not stay their and hope and pray the Dem's will give you a raise. You go out and better yourself and leave them low paying jobs for the High School kids to do.

The CEO of burger king was on tv and he said that when they increase the minimum wage he will increase the price of his food... Thus costing more for the consumers, which in turn makes inflation higher, which in turn makes interest higher and nobody wins......

I look at it this way, in agreement with aplusmnt. Increasing minimum wage will lessen the desire of those working at minimum wage to try and move on. MT passed it, I'm outraged  We (MT) are still primarily Ag, and I can't see a rancher or a farmer to be able to pay an increase in a minimum wage. This is socialism, plain and simple, and our great country has insidiously been moving in that direction, proof in the pudding how the vote went last Tues.

Guess we'll continue to run the ranch ourselves, even when our youngest leaves the nest for college. Can't afford to hire anyone now, let alone in the future :?
