What do you folks do?

I am so concerned for our country I think I need to do more besides vote and communicate to my legislators. I think we are in danger from terrorists inside the US because of our borders. Is anyone else feeling this way?

I always recommend supporting at the local level as you see more of what is needed'

Even though some of the newcomers seem inexperienced.. I try to vote for them in the primaries over the party elites selected candidate. (fight in the primaries, unite for the general elections)

another way is to get on the committees who select the candidate,
I forget what they are called , but often no one runs for the position and the same people do it election after election ..

At this point, it's about protecting you and yours and informing the next generation, IMO.

Keep up on current events and keep your kids, grandkids, any kids, young people, informed on what's really going on. Communicate with them about what they're being taught in school, and do what's necessary if they're being indoctrinated with garbage or bullied by a leftist teacher. I think a few informed kids in a class can change the dynamics. Also, things like Moochele's school lunch guidelines, I think, has got many thinking about government overreach into their personal lives.

I was told by one teacher that it's only people sneaking across the border to work in fields. Some others shamelessly worship at the altar of Obama, and treated his election victory like the second coming. Don't underestimate the ignorance of SOME teachers. Of course, some are very good.

I have met such teacher. Thinks Common Core is good, thinks Obama is good, thinks the EPA has not gone overboard...but she is a teacher and her husband works for the Forest Service. They don't think Obama is against gun ownership and he teaches 4-H Shooting Sports. They have good kids and at one
point when their parents weren't around, the kids told us they hated Common Core. So there ya go...

Educating the kids is so important. We are so fortunate that our grandson (one and only) is a conservative and he
challenged his teachers. When they had a mock election a couple of years ago and the kids elected Obama he stood up in the middle of the room and asked why they voted as they did. Common consensus was the voted that way because they thought Obama was 'cool.' This was 11th grade students. Our grandson gave a lecture on how and why you need to find out more than someone is 'cool' before you elect them to a public office.

Oh yeah, he's a good one.

Congratulations on having a grandson like that.

Good information and good insight, folks. At the Black Hills Stock Show today, I couldn't help but get on my high horse and notice how the Obamas' have no idea who Americans are or what we are about.
