What have you found?

I found a cockatiel,yesterday morning,let the dogs out about daybreak and they started raisin hell on the back porch,i went out and started lookin around,and there in the corner was a lil gray cockatiel,have no idea where it come from,closet neighbor is miles away and he damn sure would'nt have a cockatiel around there,i got it in a box in the kitchen,the lil devil was sure cold,been getting cool around here so I guess it was lookin for a warm place to lite ?
I notice it has a leg band,when it quits trying to bite and or I find my gloves I will see if there is any owner info on it,until then it eats chicken feed thats all I have around here and aint headed to town until next week.

Yup,chicken feed..............and if it dont settle down and be quiet it aint gonna make next week,Sic my damn tom cat on it...........good luck

PS anyone know how to tell a male from a female,this one I have must be female,ever since she thawed out she has been squeechin and squackin.
 
Well it might be a female but all the screechin and squackin could mean one other thing too.

It could just be that you could have found yourself an r-calf cockatiel.

I was looking for stray cows one fall down on my nemisis neighbors range when I drove over something metal with my four-wheeler. It was a handlebar for some kind of bike. Since this was in the middle of a wet swamp and off the normal trail, I thought it was an odd place for such an item.
The following winter another neighbor told me that nemisis had been burning range the previous spring and had burned up his own four-wheeler. I know a person shouldn't think this way but considering the history it kind of made my day.
