What would happen if ever one pulled all of thier money from the banks and put it in a safe at home. Went all cash, only reason for a bank would be to cash a check. If the cash dried up would the fed print more money to take up the slack. Would the banks have to lay off a bunch of the people it has on their payroll. I have been thinking of doing this. Wynona Judd had a problem with spending, she only carrys cash now. When you do that you realize pretty quick what something cost. You will have a piece of junk in your hand and an empty pocket.

If everyone pulled all their money from banks the banks would have to "call" all their loans for immediate payment in full in order to meet the withdrawal demands. Don't accept a check...the guy that wrote it probably already withdrew all his money as well so checks are worthless. Accept only cash as well in ALL transactions even any wages, retirement funds, social security etc.....cash is the only thing....There is no such thing as credit anymore and you pay in eggs, chickens and apples if necessary. No money...no gas...you stay at home until you make some money.

why would a bank cash your check if your not a customer?

they ain't a charity set up for you to use to exchange your check for their cash..

The person that gave me the check would have an account there and that makes his check Good. If the bank would not cash his check then I guess I would have to ask him to go get the cash for me. The way I see it people with bank accounts are letting the banks use their money for nothing. If the bank is not paying anything to use your money then you would be as well off keeping it at home in your safe. Or rent a safe deposit box and stash it there.

If you take all the cash out of the bank, not only will economic activity come to a halt as no loans can be made, they would also be shut down because of lack of liquidity.

I could make the arguement that, via a checking account, you are making the bank be your pay clerk for nothing.
