What is this and why would I want to allow it?

I keep getting a pop-up at the bottom of the page that reads:
googleads.g.doubleclick.net wants to track your location. And then it has a window for 'allow.'
I just 'x' out but it keeps coming back and makes the pages jump.
Why am I getting this and what do I do about stopping it?

Thanks in advance.

I run Firefox with an adblocker and no more annoying popups.

Trying to install flashblocker as well to stop those annoying gifs but haven't got it to install yet.

Just did some reading and discovered that I don't want the flash block since it likely introduces malware...

If you are using Firefox, or IE for that matter, it is a good idea to turn on tracking protection. The default setting is for it to be off. This can eliminate all sorts of problems, eliminate pop ups, cut your bandwidth usage by nearly 50%, and speed up browsing. This is according to an expert I heard on CBC radio yesterday, so I am trying now as we speak.
