What is this little plan going to cost

Obama is at it again. He is trying to get Banks to bite the bullet and write off mortgages that are underwater. When they do this are they not just going to increase the fees/interest they charge their responsible clients to cover their loses from their NON-responsible ones?

One has to wonder if this Administration ever looks at the possible consequences of their actions to see if they will be making the mess even worse for those that actually pay their bills.

This administration could not write a better script in how to destroy America.
Yet some people still blindly follow.

And the people who can't pay are gonna  this!
But how are the ones going to feel that have already had their
houses forclosed on?

What a mess and it just gets messier. Clinton and the Dems
should be hung out to dry for starting this disaster in the first
place.

It wasn't only Clinton and the Dems. The same as giving credit to Clinton for any surpluses, and forgetting about the Republican congress at the time, you also have to give the Repub. congress some of the blame.

The whole political spectrum in the US, if not the World, has shifted to far left.

When was the last time we have seen a truly Conservative leader with the power and control to grab the reins?

Obama is cleaning up a mess he helped to create or has everyone forgot as a Communitee organizing lawyer he sued Citibank forcing them into HIGH risk mortgages. Now he wants them to bite the bullet and write the mortgages his lawsuit forced them into off to save his political AZZ. Sorry thing is they will probably do it and push their loses off on their paying clients to clean up their bottom line.

And Sorry Hyp. but I think you forgot one thing the Republicans under Bush warned the Dems (of which Obama was one of) trouble was brewing and they under Frank's advise ignored the warning and pushed forward to destroy the US housing markets.

Republicans may have played a small part in the trouble because they didn't push hard enough to stop the Dems but did they actually have the power base to do anything if the Dems didn't see the wolf on their doorstep and was willing to do something to help the Republicans do something about it?

After the 2000 election, the Senate was divided evenly between the parties, with Republicans retaining the right to organize the Senate due to the election of Dick Cheney as Vice President and ex officio presiding officer of the Senate. The Senate shifted to control by the Democrats (though they technically were the plurality party as they were one short of a majority) after GOP senator Jim Jeffords changed party registration to "Independent" in June 2001, but later returned to Republican control after the November 2002 elections. In the 2006 elections, Democrats won both the House of Representatives (233 Democrats, 202 Republicans) and the Senate (49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and 2 Independents caucusing with the Democrats

The Dems including Obama had the largest part of this mess on their record but they will never admit it as long as they can pass the buck and blame Bush.

Just like their will never admit they pushed and supported the war in Iraq as long as they can blame Bush for it.

And as long as we forget these comments they will get away with blaming Republicans for everything and taking credit only when it suits them.

ok, so if a person making a livable wage, is suckered into a bigger house that they KNOW they can not afford, and then ultimately will lose gets thier debt just written off, yet a person who is working hard, cuts thier budget, and lives on rice and beans to make his payment, gets SQUAT !

this is rewarding stupidity. if you want to forgive debt, goto the guy who is making his payments, and reward HIM !

this govt is pathetic, reward the ones who are deserving of it for crying out loud!

Jigs - that is wrong- there is no one the government should be rewarding- read the founding documents of theis country.

"all men are created equal" what some choose to do or not to do with their chance is up to them.

just like everything the govt. touches it all goes to prop up those who make poor decisions. in a true free market those who make poor decisions go broke and are bought up by those who make good decisions, and production then naturally goes up. look at the farm programs.
those who are prepaired and invest in their own operation are inelligible but those who make poor decisions and are unprepaired get propped up by other taxpayers. right now up north here they are offering 'disaster" payments to people who were unprepaired and lost livestock during this hard winter. (unconstitutional by the way) while those of us who are "ants" and worked hard last summer to store up and provide for ours have to pay taxes to prop up the lazy.
OK, but then when I want to expand, I have to bid against those who are filling their pockets up with my tax dollars.
we need govt. to get back within it's Constitutional limits and let a free market solution work it's way out.

the Constitution is the solution!
