So far, so good, Denny. Thanks for asking. I will take some pictures today before this melts. It is so soggy out there. The old cat wanted out last night so I took him out and held him so he could get a good look. He never bothered about going out the rest of the evening.
The Vigortone semi couldn't make it in here last night. He was to be here Tuesday and had to spend all night and most of Wednesday in Bowman, ND. He couldn't get in here either, so Mr. FH met him at the road and they put 5 ton at a time on our trailer and brought it in. What a mess.
We are short some yearlings, found 1 and we are sure the othes are ok, just displaced. I did hear this morning that a fellow in North Dakota can't find 100 head. They got more snow over there. Sounds like upwards of 18" inches. We have about 8 that piled up, but we got rain before that.
Now next is flooding, because it is going to warm up quite fast. We have a creek through this place, but we are on a hill and the only cattle that are currently on the creek are the bulls.
And of course, the MUD. This mud here is something else.
And NR, I hear you about the hard-doing genetics that are being so promoted. They are stacking them as far as I am concerned, and from the little bit I know. Spells disaster down the road I'm afraid.
