Temp is 90- with northwest winds blowing at 30+ mph   :(

Sure sucking the moisture out of everything....Can almost see it evaporating from the water holes...Red Flag fire warnings across the state...

Weather boys say this front moving thru could stir up some isolated thunderstorms tonite- and then possibly give us some cooler air and a chance of rain as the week goes along....

Hot and dry here too OT.

Right now I am listening to the radio traffic on a fire west of us that started around 2pm. Surprised that they haven't called our firefighters out yet.
Oh yeah, the fire chief in charge doesn't like me.

Got the air conditioner going and it is rather nice right now.

Friday and Saturday it was hot and windy here, too. Today was just hot, but it seemed nice without the wind.

Yesterday we were sorting pairs in a bale yard now empty of hay bales. The wind was howling, which was causing an obnoxious whistle in the air. At first, I thought is was coming from the pickup and trailer, which was parked nearby. Then it was determined the whistle was coming from a green treated fence post which had a wide crack running the length of it. After I placed my jacket over the post, the obnoxious whistling subsided. This sure made the rest of the cattle sorting much more pleasant. :? :)

Beautiful morning,we're up to 78F already. Will be a nice break from that CRAZY wind we've been having. Should be some rest for the fire fighters battling some pretty bad fires in the province

We had hard blow you away wind here on Saturday and then the wind would come and go on Sunday but is back to blowing this morning.

It was 90 yeasterday. With the wind and heat we could sure use some moisture.

Wind hasn't stopped for days!!!!! Ground sure is drying out fast. We need a good rain, and my husband told me this morning that the rain we were supposed to get Wednesday has now been taken away from us.

Reports coming out of Billings, MT that the town of Fort Benton was hit by a tornado are false. The tornado touched down between the towns of Carter and Floweree, MT. It was on the south side of the Missouri River and was tracking towards the town of Fort Benton. No reports yet on damage.
We don't get a lot of tornados so this was a big news item.
Got some great pics of the storm before the twister touched down. Will have to get them posted. We were east of the storm at the time.

Good to hear your OK i luv herfrds--I was wondering about you when I read that story in the Gazette earlier...

We had winds- with some pretty good gusts all nite- now have east winds blowing 30-40 mph- spitting a few raindrops off and on....

The weather folks say this could give us some pretty good moisture in the days to come (they're guessing at over an inch- which probably means we will get none  )
Bring it on- we could sure use it....Memorial Day week/weekend- with all the planned brandings and graduations usually means nasty weather.....

Here are the pics I took at around 8:10pm we were rushing home and these were taken in our truck. Reports said it touched down about 8:30pm.
You can see the rotation getting going in the pictures. Son had asked me if a tornado could get started from this storm. I told him no. I was wrong.

We've had 3-4 days now of cool windy weather with little showers off and on....Only got about 1/4 of an inch moisture all together- not even enough to shut down irrigating hay fields...
But 50 miles west of us some places got almost 4 inchs
Weather boys are still saying some of that SD-Wyo storm could swing up this way and give us some moisture tonite and tomorrow.....

We didn't even get the1/4 inch. Gee i'm tired of this wind. Hard to even move cattle in it. Hope that rain moves north, the map last week showed our area getting the rain that's south and west of us. Maybe next week. :?

Yippppeeeee! Started raining on Wednesday, I had to help sort pairs for neighbors and brand inspect them. It was cold, wet and miserable, but what the hey, if it takes that to make it rain, then bring 'er on! It's been raining off and on since Wednesday and we have over 3" in the rain guage. We sure needed it, the hot, dry wind last weekend was sucking the rest of the moisture right out of the dirt  Told neighbors to do this again, maybe 10 days from now, maybe get some more rain! Yippppeeee! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Started raining Wednesday afternoon and rained steady until around 1-2pm today. Got over 2" of rain.
Suppose to get warmer later this week, up in the 70's that should get everything growing great. Still got showers passing through.

Hanto Yo are you going to the corgi picnic this year? I contacted the club and I will be coming down for it. Husband plans to go to a car show  , going to be one busy weekend.

6.5 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. Plenty of wind and a high today of 56 degrees. Flash flood warnings all over the place. The Republican is well out of its banks.

Jiggsy, screw your 143 million dollars, you Wheatheads can make do with the water we are sending down right now!!!

I picked a helluva week to take my vacation..... 8)

We've got an inch of rain before it got to cold to rain anymore. temp hasn't been over forty for three days with a twenty five to thirty mph wind directly out of the north. I don't think winter is ever going to end.

The rain finally got here this morning, if we would get the amount some of you are talking about I'd be pretty happy. Maybe the grass would green up then.
