When is Boehner going to stay out of the press and deal with his crumbling leadership of the House?

Does he really think it shows good leadership ability to go out in front of the Press and call out his own party members verses sitting down with them in a backroom and try to get them all on the same page?

Today's public display by Boehner should show everyone he doesn't have leadership ability and needs to be REPLACED.

I have thought this for quite some time. When he became Speaker of the House, I had high hopes. They were misplaced. I have no use for Nancy Pelosi, but I have to hand it to her, she knows how to get things done, even if they are things I do not agree with. Boehner is a huge disappointment who has done the country no good. We need a House leader, not a back stabber.

Record for Worst Congress of All Time So Close Boehner Can Taste It

Posted by Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—With six fingers of Johnnie Walker swirling in his favorite tumbler, John Boehner speaks with the quiet assurance of a man on the brink of something big.

Just three workdays remain until Congress packs it in for 2013, and the House that Boehner presides over is about to set the record for the least productive year in its history—a quixotic goal that the tawny Ohioan set for himself when he arrived in Washington, in 1991.

“Like most of us, I came to this town hoping to make history,” he says, refilling his tumbler. “And, damn it, that’s what I’m about to do.”

Downing his glass in one gulp, he reflects upon “all the little things that had to go right” to make the year of epic underachievement possible.

“There were the Benghazi hearings, of course, and all the votes to repeal Obamacare,” he says. “But when we shut down the government in the fall, I started thinking, Jesus, the record—it could happen.”

During those heady shutdown days, Boehner didn’t dare speak about the record he had long dreamed of setting—“didn’t want to jinx anything”—but with Congress’s work year set to end on Friday, he now admits, “I’m so close I can taste it.”

Yesterday, when members of his caucus came up with a bipartisan budget deal, Boehner “had a little come-to-Jesus meeting with them,” he says. “I told them, I’ve worked too long and hard for this record, damn it. Don’t mess it up at the last minute by accomplishing something.”

So with the record for worst Congress seemingly in the bag—“I can cross that off my bucket list,” he says—what does John Boehner do for an encore?

“It’s going to be tough to make next year’s Congress even worse,” he says, pouring himself another tall one. “But it’s going to be fun trying.”

ONLY OLDTIMER

BTW Oldtimer now that your BUSINESS VENTURE has allowed you time to post Andy Borowitz crap how about you tell us what you think of the 'LIE OF THE YEAR'. You know the one your hero Obama has been spewing for three years knowing full well he was FULL OF IT?

And if your BUSINESS VENTURE allows time why don't you tell us what you think of the roll out of the Obama website that blew up in Obama's face and risks everyone that does manage to sign up private info to being stole by hackers?

We missed you enlightened banter about how Obamacare is the best thing since sliced bread and Obama is just the man to fix the US economy.

nah it is oldtimer alright,,, he made this claim in a post on another site when questioned about his lies

Your undying worship and following is well noted-- but really Hoppy I am not anointed or ordained by any of your cults that should make you think I am your leader!! :p

In actuality I had a few minutes to kill while waiting for the replay of the NFR to come on- looked at PB and saw those folks still putting out their propaganda unchallenged- and in about 3 seconds time was easily able to challenge 3 of the assertions...

Didn't you notice how I agreed with the ladies that were beeching about how terrible Boehner was- and even posted a national report backing their beliefs... Altho before those same ladies wouldn't believe me when I said that everyone on the Hill knew Bohner is a lazy drunk- who usually was off the Hill and at a party by 4PM on work days...

Funny, OT knows all about Boehner and doesn't mind posting what he knows, when Obama is worse, much worse; and yet he still stands up for him and his commie policies.

Obama is far more dangerous than Boehner. If Boehner hadn't been such a candy-ass, things could be a little different than they are. He's incompetent, not dangerous.

I heard something interesting about Boehner this morning and I do have to wonder if there is something to it.

They said Boehner is publicly attacking the Tea Party Conservatives as he wants to marginalize them so when the Congress starts talking about immigration and AMNESTY next year, he will be able to get a bill through the House supporting amnesty as his Congressional Office has hired a amnesty advocate.

Speaker John Boehner Hires Amnesty Advocate for Staff
By Brenda Walker on December 3, 2013 at 5:56pm

ImageFor those who think they can turn over and go back to sleep about amnesty, there’s this: the Speaker of the House just engaged an amnesty proponent experienced in crafting legislation. Rebecca Tallent earlier was employed in top positions for Senator John McCain and before that, Congressman Jim Kolbe who have been enthusiastic exponents of legalization.

Most recently she worked at the Bipartisan Policy Center, as the director of immigration policy.

Many friends of national sovereignty sighed in relief when Speaker Boehner announced on November 13 that the House would not conference with the Senate on its execrable amnesty bill. But the billionaires desiring cheap foreign labor are patient and know that the present GOP leadership is on their side, although quietly. So the Speaker apparently has another amnesty move in mind.

If he approves amnesty for 10's of millions of illegals which will give the FREE HEALTHCARE and SS can you just imagine where the US debt will be in a decade.
