That's pretty far out and extreme, but it does provoke thought. What happens when that little plastic card and the government printed money becomes worthless.
We can try to prevent this by taxing the profits of the ones who have wealth, but if the governemt takes all the profits, they had just as well have burried their money in their backyard. Back in the 1930's Hoover blamed hoarding as much the cause of the depression. Time and again he warned people not to hoard.
If people do not invest, and if those who work and produce no longer receive an adequate reward for their efforts will production continue. If production falters, will government printed money have any value.
