WHEN WILL RUSSIA AND CHINA GO TO WAR?

FASCISM IS FASCISM
Which of two kinds of fascism do you think is more dangerous – one stemming from a culture’s or a people’s feeling of inferiority, or one stemming a culture’s or people’s feeling of superiority?
If a country possessing a fascism of inferiority got into a war with a country possessing a fascism of superiority, all else being equal, which do you think has a better chance of winning? Russians are xenophobic because they suffer deeply from a lack of cultural self-confidence and an inferiority complex toward the West. Han Chinese are xenophobic because they feel they are a culturally and racially superior form of humanity. Westerners, Japanese, Blacks, Tibetans, et al, are all sub-human compared to the Han.
There are ten times more Chinese than Russians. China’s dried-up and polluted land is becoming, as we discussed last September, the world’s largest desert. Russia has millions of square miles, abundantly watered and forested yet diaphanously populated, on the other side of China’s northern border.
IS RUSSIA DYING?
Both China and Russia are teetering on economic depression. The Russian economy floats on a sea of oil that is rapidly draining dry. The oil wealth is all skimmed off by Putin’s Mafiacracy and is not being reinvested. As the BBC notes in a program titled “Threat to the Future of Russia Oil,” it will take $1 trillion just to maintain current production, much less expand it. The Mafiacracy will put that money into its Swiss bank accounts. Thus production has already started to fall.
As the Wall Street Journal noted recently, Russia is dying—literally. Life expectancy is lower than that of Bangladesh. Millions of Russian men drink a gallon of vodka a week. Millions of Russian women are sterile after having had so many abortions. This is a culture with a death wish, one that does not want to survive. The conclusion that CIA Director Michael Hayden draws from Russia’s demographic collapse, given in a speech at Kansas State University in late April 2008, is that Russia will have to import millions of foreign workers. There’s only one place that can supply a sufficient number of such workers—China.
CHINA’S SCARY LUST FOR OIL
As we noted in past writings, Russia doesn’t stand a chance. Losing Siberia to China is inevitable. Even more so in that China will get not only Russia’s Siberian oil but also Russia’s slice of Arctic Ocean oil.
The question really is, will Russia surrender peacefully or put up a fight—perhaps even a nuclear fight? For some time I have believed it would be the former – China demographically inching its way into Siberia patiently (e.g., by Chinese men marrying Russian women), boiling the Russian frog for years until it’s too late. Now the odds may be shifting toward the latter.
ONLY RUSSIANS BELONG HERE
One reason is the rapidly escalating number of attacks and murders by Russian nationalist and “neo-Nazi” gangs upon non-Russians from former Soviet Republics. Since the beginning of this year (January-April), well over 200 such racial assaults have occurred, in which 53 people have been murdered. This is just in European Russia, leaving out Siberia. Information on such assaults is compiled and verified by the Sova Center, a human rights organization in Moscow.
It is only a matter of a short time when Russian nationalist gangs will begin attacking Chinese who have immigrated to such Siberian cities as Khabarovsk or Vladivostok. How do you say “opening Pandora’s Box” in Mandarin?
TIBET IS OURS, SAY THE HAN
The Han Chinese capacity for fascist nationalism has been on world display in its contempt for and angry dismissal of world outrage regarding China’s colonial oppression of Tibet. The vast majority of Han are convinced of their moral right to politically enslave Tibetans. After the “Free Tibet” Olympic torch protests in Paris, for example, anti-West/anti-France demonstrations broke out in dozens of Chinese cities.
When a Chinese student at Duke University was suspected of supporting Tibet, not only was she vilified as a “traitor” on thousands of Chinese websites, but her parents’ identity and address in the city of Qingdao were posted, resulting in numerous death threats and feces being thrown on their home.
BULLY CHINA AND DIE
Chinese nationalist radicals are even more dangerous than Russian nationalist radicals. They are also better armed. While the Chinese military is modernizing through the roof, the Russian military is rusting into the ground. Russia can pull off the bully act against its former vassal republic Georgia, unafraid of the Euro-wimps of NATO. But if Russia under Putin or his stooge Dmitri Medvedev or anyone else tries to bully China, it will be suicidal.
And yet that’s just what Russians seem determined to be. The only thing in doubt is the timing. It could come next year, it could come in ten. All it needs is a spark, a catalyst. When it is over, Russia will be a shrunken, defeated remnant of its former self, while China will emerge enormously strengthened, enriched, and enlarged.
The number of Chinese who want to achieve this and quickly is growing. War between Russia and China, with the outcome known in advance by everyone, may be upon us sooner than we want to think. Just hope we don’t get suckered into taking sides, no matter how much the Russians beg us to come to their rescue. It’s their funeral, not ours.
Then again, the destruction of Russia might provide an opportunity for the destruction of China. But that’s another story . . .
