Had to enroll the kids in school today 3 kids and $150.00. With all the property taxes, sales taxes, income taxes etc.......You would think it would be free to go to grade school nowadays. I sure do not remember my parents having to pay for me to go to school when I was young.

Is this a Kansas or county thing? Or do you guys also have to pay for school?

I heard an even better one yesterday-- heard the local Community College advertising college courses on the radio, that would be offered as afternoon and night classes at the high school-- tuition was $60 a credit-- $15 a credit if in High School- Senior Citizens over age 60 free... :???:

This really got me wondering so I called the Supe of Schools who informed me its all funded under some national program federal grant- and thats their rules for cost....That means my daughter thats 27 and taking some of these classes to improve her job position to better the life for her and her kids has to pay $60 credit- and an old fart like me that will never use them can go for nothing.....  :(

Now why in HE double L would they give free college courses to folks over 60- most of who are retired and probably will never use them in a new career :???: Why not give the breaks to the young folks that are trying to make their lives better...

If that is the way things are then I am going back to College in 17 years when I can afford it. I wonder if them 60 year old college girls will seem as hot as they did last time when I was 20?

I agree with you OT, that's so silly.
Kinda like the barber who gives Sr. Citizen discounts when it is the FAMILY
MAN with several kids who could use it the most. (Don't mean to
pick on barbers here, after all, my daughter is one.)
