NoNo, I do not appreciate being called a liar.
I could not make this story up had I not been there, because
I had never experienced anything close to this in the U.S.
I have never singled you out to call you anything and just
because you don't like what I posted, you don't need to call
me a LIAR.

And I didn't say she came home the same night she went in. She didn't.
She went in by ambulance about 6 pm the evening prior to being sent home.

Now if your health care satisfies you, so be it. I don't want it in
the U.S. and I have that right, whether you like it or not.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Thanks per, for your similar story.

Nono, you most likely won't believe me either but just last night my neighbor took his elderly mom to the hospital at 7 pm because she fell. They x rayed her leg and poked and prodded and he went home at 11. The hospital called at 1230am to have him take her home. He went back to town and rolled her into his (because his dad needs it) handicap equipped van and took her back to the lodge. She could not handle the pain when they tried to put her in her bed. Took her back to the hospital and now they think she has a broken hip. This was just last night and today in a town with a fully equipped hospital. Something smells in the state of Denmark. (or whatever that Shakespeare Quote was)

Medical or Doctor Misdiagnosis
Medical Misdiagnosis is a serious risk every time you go to the hospital. Medical treatment does not come with the guarantee that everything will be handled at one hundred percent capacity. Doctors, nurses, surgeons, and all other kinds of medical professionals have a standard quality of care. Nevertheless, sometimes this standard is subverted and the patient suffers. In 2007, the Journal of the American Medical Association notes that the twenty percent rate of misdiagnosis in deceased patients has not changed since the 1930’s.

Are you a victim of a medical misdiagnosis? If so, contact our medical misdiagnosis claim lawyers right now.

Medical malpractice is a serious offense to the standard of health care in this country. When you go to the hospital, the last thing on your mind is the doctor making a mistake. Although infrequent, this happens. And sometimes the medical professionals negligently misdiagnose a patient. This can result in giving a patient medication that may be harmful, and even fatal.

Common diseases that are frequently misdiagnosed are:

Breast Cancer
Tuberculosis
Lung Cancer
Diabetes
Prostate Cancer
Cervical Cancer
Ovarian Cancer
Testicular Cancer
Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack)
Strokes
Pulmonary Embolism
Bacterial Meningitis
Appendicitis
There are many ways that a medical misdiagnosis can present itself. Whether a doctor is at fault, or hospital staff, a misdiagnosis of a serious illness can have very extreme and harmful effects.

The National Patient Safety Foundation cites that 42% of medical patients feel they have had experienced a medical error or missed diagnosis.
Patient safety is sometimes negligently given the back seat for other concerns, such as the cost of medical tests, drugs, and operations.

Medical Misdiagnoses are a serious risk to our healthcare profession. If they continue, then people will fear going to the hospital for treatment. We can put an end to medical misdiagnosis by informing the public and filing claims and suits against the medical practitioners at fault.

I am sorry that your friend was missdiagnosed, unfourtanutly that happens..and it is simply wrong and enxcusable..

I saw how Canadian Health Care works in some situations with my own eyes. I was at a house where there was a very elderly, very ill, old woman. She had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. When the hospital decided she could come home; they sent her home. At 2 o'clock in the morning!!!!! And this happened more than once. Her son would have to go get her in a cab, as he didn't have a car. It was imperative
that she go home NOW.

That would never happen in the US. But it might, if we get
Health Care reform that no one reads.

Imagine--dismissing her at 1 or 2 am to get her out of the
hospital as soon as possible. If I hadn't been there,
I would not have believed it.

I do not believe you....Her son should of done better by her if thats the case....how many ambulances take patients home after they are done in the ER?..If she needed an abulance at 2am,should they wait for a better time to admit her.....you never stated what time she went in.....Eevn if your story was true, would he not have to get her in a cab at 10 am as well?

The more you open your mouth the more ignorant you sound!!! Go read, understand, rersearch, and then ande only then, make your profound statements of profound nonsense!!!
Not only are you a nonothing you are clueless!!!!
There was no ambulance taking her home!! Does not work that way!!!!

Yea right like a person can wait to go to the hospital, I can assure you that NO ambulance will transport a person to the hospital UNLESS the feel it is necessary!!!

READ and UNDSERSTAND before you spout your gibberish!!!

You really are some kind of dim witt are'nt you hoppy? Are you for real? You do not understand sarcasim i guess......but thanks for clearing that ambulance thing up for me Memanpa.Dam and all this time i thought ambulances brought people home from the hospital not take them there....That was sarcastic hoppy,so no lecture please..........I love it when you use CAPS!! just like the old memanpa days......

The problem in your thinking Aplusmnt is that nonothing doesn't know there are waiting list in Canada and doesn't realize that people are leaving Canada for treatment in the US. He thinks the Canadian system is Great and everyone in Canada is getting all the health care they need all free of charge. We are growing old and our government is looking after us like no other country in the World. I'm sure he thinks that if you go to a one payer system like we have everything will be lollipops and roses there too. He also still believes in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, so talking to him about why Canadians should care is a WASTE OF TIME.

First off the only reason Canadians can use American MRI machines is because Americans cannot affoerd to use them themselfs.....Secondly I just mentioned the women who had to wait to get a new hip ...but at least she got one.In America she would become a shut in living in pain the rest of her life......Waiting is just a fact of numbers no matter what it is..even in sandhuskers bank i bet you have to wait in line for a till to open..waiting is a numbers game...If you can afford to go to america and by pass the wait..fill your boots.....no system can excist without wait times....unless of course no one is using the system as the can not afford it.....Some people do have to wait...and i would say in some cases that is unfair and works against healing.....but the other alternative is simply no care as it is not affordable....Companies are not gonna foot the bill for medicare much longer....once one decides to stop paying others companies will follow, hell Aplus does not pay his employees any medical care .....You do not like the government handling your health care but you trust corporations with it instead.Thats a laff .....Your both right ,if health care was affordable to all, wait times will increase....but if it reamains price unattainable then you will have idle hospitals and greedy insurance sales man....At least in Canada that lady with the new hip can now enjoy her days again after waiting in pain......In america, she better like staying in bed cause she wont beable to get out of it unless she wins the lotto.....

Tam,you cry about others picking on you yet you have no trouble being condisending towards me......tell you what...Stop bitching about how your such a great debater while others do not debate the points, and just insult you..........As you are a full on hypocrite now yourself ...

It is one thing to base you views on Canadian Health care on your own opinions but leave your theology on your side of the border! You have no facts or truth in anything you say about us.

Statistically per capita we give more MRI's to patients. Not only do we have more machines per capita our citizens use them more per capita. They are not sitting idle waiting for a Canadian to come pay to use them as you say!

Secondly companies do not pay Medicare, it is a Government ran program similar to you Canadian Government health care. So Companies have no way to stop paying it.

Thirdly we have programs in place to help those that need hip replacements, if you can actually afford it then payments can be set up with doctors, if you can not afford it then you can get it through our welfare system aka medicare. There is also charities all around the U.S. to help people with these problems. If you are older which 90% of hip replacements are then they would qualify for Medicaid and they would pay for it!

You are welcome to discuss our medical system all you want, but please give us the respect we do in discussing yours, you know the FACTS not your opinion! You see conservatives like to look at FACTS, we do not bounce arounnd in Never-land or Wonderland or whatever fantasy world you liberals do!

I notice Nonothing does not want to acknowledge he was wrong, he just skips over the admitting that and pick fights with others.

Facts are not nonothings friend! He is like the Fonz he can not say he was wrrrrrrrrroooooooooonnnnnnnnnng!

Man collapses with ruptured appendix... three weeks after NHS doctors 'took it out'

By Daniel Bates
Last updated at 12:15 AM on 26th August 2009

After weeks of excruciating pain, Mark Wattson was understandably relieved to have his appendix taken out.

Doctors told him the operation was a success and he was sent home.

But only a month later the 35-year-old collapsed in agony and had to be taken back to Great Western Hospital in Swindon by ambulance.

To his shock, surgeons from the same team told him that not only was his appendix still inside him, but it had ruptured - a potentially fatal complication.

In a second operation it was finally removed, leaving Mr Wattson fearing another organ might have been taken out during the first procedure.

It is hopeless I agree. If you are here to discuss politics, it is no longer possible. The few who are left in this forum are either busy amusing themselves by being aholes or are so blinded by fear and conspiracy theories that they don't hear a word you said.

And you are a prime target that they amuse themselves with. Don't give them the satisfaction nono.

Also frankly, the opinions of several here are close to sedition and dangerous and I would distance myself if I were you.

When, Alice, when have you ever discussed politics?
