And my FFL shop's name is Second Amendment Gunstore (who Facebook will no longer allow to post his wares since they banned all gun stores ) - who sells some great guns at the cheapest prices I have found... Including many assault rifle types- and its got him worried...

He's worried about what? That somehow his gun sales will drop like a rock?

I call BS.

I think he's worrying about a bunch of new laws banning assault type weapons and any over 10 round capacity magazines- along the line of the California restrictions... And that would definitely affect much of what he sells...

Well, just tell him to look on the bright side. Those new laws will be an indication that the 'do nothing' congress is finally getting along, working together, and passing laws needed by the American people. It'll be a good thing. Just explain to him that it's for his own good.

(Besides the fact that a little 9MM pocket pistol would be a whole he!! of a lot lighter)...

in your corner of America that would be fine... but out here that would get you some serious jail time..

Jamie Addams from MDA stated, “We were armed with clipboards and children and they asked us to leave.” She vowed that the fight is not over yet.

MDA may have set their sights on Target in this latest campaign, but they’re completely wasting their time. In many states, “No Guns” signs don’t carry the weight of law, or only certain specifically worded legal signs must be complied with. So store policies mean nothing without very specific legal signage. The only time a gun owner would have to comply, is if he was asked to leave. Failure to comply after being asked would be trespassing. But if you’re lawfully concealed carrying, obviously nobody knows, hence you won’t be asked.

That one sentence sums up most of the answer to all the problem...

A couple of the readers comments were worthwhile:

For whatever it’s worth, Chipotle didn’t ban guns. They simply requested that people didn’t bring long guns into their stores and act like dumbasses. Fair request. I personally can’t think of any rational reason, stopping in on the way to the gun store you were walking to notwithstanding, to bring an AR or some other long gun into a store. It’s not a particularly grand threat to safety if you do since most criminals who are about to engage in crime aren’t going to carry a long gun that makes them conspicuous as ****. It simply doesn’t happen at any rate worth concerning ourselves with.

Also, it is against Target’s policy to allow any kind of solicitation on store property. If it is political, religious, panhandling, trying to sale things, etc. It will not be allowed in Target. I’ve had to kick out a fair number of people. So doing this really was doomed to begin with.

Apparently Target was not singling out this group- but don't allow any politicking at all on their properties... Wise policy !

So, no reason to outlaw them...or over react.

Well women going around trying to get signers to a petition is pretty normal to me
BUT going shopping and carrying an AK-47 around a store is a little on the extreme side in my point of view.....

There are those on the left that see any type of gun carrying absurd.
“Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.”

William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

George Zimmerman is a coward. He epitomizes the definition of a coward but so do almost all individuals who carry concealed weapons if they have a permit or not. Let me repeat that so there are no misunderstandings, with very few exceptions, people who carry concealed weapons are cowards. States are doling out concealed weapon permits to any Tom, Dick, Harry or Jane with reckless abandon, over one million in Florida alone. I know a few of these gutless cowards and no matter how they justify their reasoning for carrying a concealed weapon it boils down to I am afraid and my gun makes me feel brave.

Simply put............If the "Left" is against it, I'm for it.

I actually agree with you on this one, Oldtimer. All things in moderation.

So do I. I can see no logical reason to even think about doing this. Open carry may be legal in some states but if it causes public concern or fear you can certainly be arrested as well.
