A new poll shows that Kentucky primary winner Rand Paul still maintains a healthy lead over his Democratic opponent despite a savage corporate media attack campaign that attempted to smear him as a racist, proving that he has survived the contrived, coordinated and vicious demonization plot that was enacted immediately after he defeated his establishment neo-con adversary Trey Grayson.

A poll conducted May 25-27 by Survey USA shows that Paul has a 6 point lead over his Democrat opponent Jack Conway,
in an election for United States Senator from Kentucky as of May 28, 2010, Republican Rand Paul edges Democrat Jack Conway, 51% to 45%, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for the Louisville Courier-Journal and WHAS-TV.

Social politics aside, Paul's views are shared by more than just an angry bloc of Kentucky voters. It's a movement that favors, among other things, a return to pure free markets and getting laws and government out of private business.

but it gets worse..

Rand Paul, riding the momentum of his big Republican Primary win on Tuesday, now posts a 25-point lead over Democrat Jack Conway in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race,

Since winning the primary, Paul has gained ground among Republican voters and is now supported by 82% of the GOP faithful. That figure is up from 69% earlier. Paul also earns 73% support from unaffiliated voters at this time.

Conway, on the other hand, attracts support from just 59% of Democrats. Most conservative Democrats currently prefer Paul over the Democratic nominee. Conservative Democrats represent just under 15% of all Kentucky voters.

ouch...
