Just this past wednesday we had 84 temps...and it was WONDERFUL! The wind turned around on thursday and was barely 40 something..of course we had to preg cows that day..brrrr...then this morning Old Man Winter shows up....Oh how I wish we were in Texas about now...but I guess that's what we get for living in Nebraska...temps change with every day of the week.

These poor ole cows are trying to get to my pickup so I can feed em cake. :?

Jassy...

Great pics...especially the third. That is a classic! I wish we were getting your snow. Hunting season starts here on the Rez today...hope that doesn't mean the start of fall fire season too!

Again, thanks for sharing your great pics.

Cheers---

Jassy,

Did you get any accumulation? We got about 2-3 inches of the white stuff by this morning, but it's mostly gone now. Brrrr! It's cold out there!

We had fog today, I marked it on the calendar because you can just about bet on it, (we've been tracking this for 13 years) that when we have fog, count ahead 80 days and you will have moisture of one kind or another. This will hit when some will be calving heifers, I'm glad we're fall calvers. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, Hanta Yo, I have kept track for years and it generally runs true.
I learned to go 90 days from fog, but 80 probably works as well.

However, as our old buddy Bob used to say: "ALL SIGNS FAIL
IN A DRY YEAR." I've found that saying is ALWAYS true.

Hope you got the guest bedroom ready Lilly! If this damn cold wind keeps up..me and the dogs are moving in!
We didn't get much due to the fact that the ground is still warm and most of it melted...about 1/2 inch maybe left on the ground. Deer Hunters are happy though since season opens up tomorrow (saturday). I don't mind the snow as much as I hate the wind...but that's life.
