You know.......if one of us goes missin, I'd sure hope that someone would notice and take the time to ask around about us.

We aren't all from Nebraska....or Canada......Haymakers bout the only one on here that ranches in similar circumstances that we do here. Not exactly the same because it's a different area of Texas......but closer to bein the same than just about anyone else on here. We all have things in common, and things we disagree on. There's a few others from Texas....but they aren't big posters.

It amazes me how easy it is for some folks to say somethin unkind and how HARD it is for them for an act of kindness.

Jinglebooby that was bit rude don't you think -don't you have a sign to put up or a gate to padlock.

Well, rude is as rude does. I made a joke and you seem to think you are smarter than anyone else, so you took it literally, evidentley.

Nope, I don't have to put any signs up or lock any gates. Anyone comes on on my place, they are breaking the law, unless they have my permission.

We live in SD, where we still value private property rights. Unlike some evidentley.

Don't you have some animal to kill or a hockey game to go too?

As a matter of fact I do lol. What kind of cowboy says 'well duh' anyways lol. Never heard the Duke or Clint come out with that one sunshine. Never I said I was smarter than anybody just gave an old hard bitten South Dakotan a nudge back-guess that's against the law there too. Spent a great weekend hunting mule deer on a Saskatchewan ranch-signed us in-we checked out on our way back. No padlocks needed.

The Duke or Clint? If that is what you are judging real cowboys and ranchers by, I feel very sorry for you, ol buddy.

(Psst, NR, they was just acting. They didn't know squat about real horse or cattle, but left it up to their hired men to get dirty and do the real work)

Glad you had a good hunt.

I am waiting for a neighbor and we are going after a cripple they shot at and it ran onto me. He was nice enough to call, even tho' he knows I don't mind anyone going after a cripple. Around here, we like people who are polite and go to the trouble to ask.

And no padlocks around here either. Tho' what good they would do on a barbed wire gate, is beyond me. The law in this state is, if you don't have permission and are found on someones land, you are tresspassing and liable to legal action. Oh, unless you are a GF&P official. Then you can go anywhere at any time, whether you have a reasonable excuse or not.

Sure glad we don't live in Germany, like during and previous to WWII.

Oh, I guess when you look at what the GF&P can do, it's just about the same.

Thanks for the offer Mrs. Greg. If I had the time or money, it would be fun. :)

I seem to have some stuff lined out to do around here tho', so we will just have to have an internet visit.

Oh, and NR, the "Well Duh" comes from a friend of mine, in our highschool days. By the way, he's a damn fine hand also.

Some of us refuse to be pigeon holed into what we say, think or do.

Funny, I thought from what you wrote on all these threads, you was like that too.

I havce permission to hunt on everyone's land, except for a select few, because of houses on there etc, up to the northern part of our zone, and all the way to the highways. So basically where I see a buck, I can chase him. Its not an issue for me. Up north by the breiux we have permission for most of the land. It's convenient.

My, my, this is informative. lol.
