The healing will take awhile around my house-the only positive from it is guys like Brindamour,Weight and Wesley that have paid their dues finally get to drink from Lord Stanley-those were two great teams that left it all on the ice-now the hockey withdrawal is setting in-I got 6 weeks till Ty goes to AAA camp hope I can make it.The Oilers had a great run but unless you finish the deal it is kind of all for nought.

It was raining so hard we lost our sattelight half way through the game. But didnt the Oilers seem kind of weak in the first?
It was like they were not really giving it there all?
Carolina was giving everything they had in that first period.
 Game 6 was a much better game!

Can't really tell you how well they did in first...we kind of had the same problam,we had a wicked electric storm that took out the game for most of first period. Thought I was going to go into severe reaction waiting for it to come back on..LOL Power kept clicking off throughout the whole game.....Carolina won and they deserved the cup!!!

Agree with Roper, just a game of Canadians playing Canadians. CBC interviewed the entire Carolina team, asking where they were from and who their favorite hockey player growing up was. At least 1/2 the guys were Canadian, and the rest were a mix from across the globe. Missed the first period (out fencing), but thought the Oilers were just a little too lax going into the 2nd. Was expecting some heavy hitting to slow down those Category 5 Hurricanes....they were fast as lightning...and the forechecking...WOW!...they just never gave the Oilers a break in their own zone. Was nice to reminice about the Oiler glory years for the last couple months though.
