Where's the outrage?

Texan

A senior adviser to the President of the United States refers to a beautiful and intelligent young lady as a dog - simply because he disagrees with her - and there's no outrage from the women's groups?

There's no apology from the White House? There's barely even any press coverage - I can't find anything from the mainstream media. Why is there no outrage? Why isn't there the same level of uproar that there would have been if Karl Rove had made a similar comment?

Will some of you liberals speak out against this? Or will you be just as silent as you were when one of your own here made comments about Sarah Palin's boobs? Will you be just as quiet as you were when one of your own made a 'joke' about a conservative poster being raped?

This constant hypocrisy from the left is disgusting....

Axelrod: Prejean is a dog

George Joyce

On Thursday evening’s NPR quiz show “Wait Wait . . . Don’t Tell Me” senior Obama advisor David Axelrod made reference to Miss California Carrie Prejean as a dog. Politico is reporting that when Axelrod was asked on the show if he had helped the Obama’s choose their recently acquired dog Axelrod replied:

“I was only called in for the final three, and one was Miss California.”

When a senior advisor to the President of the United States refers to a courageous, twenty-one year old Christian woman as a dog it’s a sign that conservatives have finally found a crack in the Obama administration’s armor. Axelrod’s remark is also an indication of the off the charts sense of superiority that characterizes many of those on Obama’s staff.

How much longer will this country be able to endure the utter contempt these progressives have for traditional American values? When will conservatives begin to stand up for this young woman and the values she is defending?

Axelrod's comment must surely be Bush's fault!

The libtards have only proven they are the most self centered, me first, egptistical, elitists of all time. Yet they still won't admit it or are just too stupid to realize what they really are. But they do worship a black man, does that count?

But that's Free Speech isn't it???

And it is also idiot and elitist speech. Axelrod is insulting the girl because of one of her views. What that idiot doesn't realize is that polls and even gay marriage initiatives that have been allowed to come to a vote (including in California) have shown that the majority of Americans share her belief. Therefore, Axelrod is actually insulting the majority of voters.

Doesn't matter if YOU think it's idiot and elitist. Free Speech is just that, FREE SPEECH.

What you think doesn't matter a red ratz azz...it's Free Speech and his opinion and he has a right to say it.

Remember we just hashed all this out on a thread already.

Do you want to suppress Free Speech?

Kola, you didn't fall for the trap....totally.

You did say that I had the right of free speech to say it. Good thing I didn't call him that or you woulda called me names and then you woulda been tacky.

You did fall for the trap that there is nothing wrong in your eyes to call this lady names, very uncouth of you.

Yeap, he can say anything he wants. He does NOT have the right to be heard.

He is speaking for the president, about a citizen of the USA should he choose his words more carefully? Unless that is what the president thinks......
Which brings us to should the president be attacking one person over their free speech?
In essance he is speaking for the entire nation to the nation. When you represent a group of people and are speaking for them you no longer can give your own OPIONION. You are suppose to speak the views of the group your representing.

The difference is Mike and sandy are upset over what he said, You are upset over her saying what she said. Elizabeth wrote a book about herself not as the entire Edwards family.
Your indignation over the appearance of any negative reflection on you is what is amazing. ITS NOT ABOUT YOU.

OMGAWD I get it now ............conservitives think when you are the spokesmen for a group you suppress your opionions and go with the opionion of the group ...liberals think its your own agenda you speak about, not the groups.
Thats why ot felt he did no wrong...it was his agenda, not him representing the group "ranchers". That absolves him of all guilt in his words.
Liberals dont understand "the appearance of impropriety"

I vaguely recall one of the Dixie Chicks saying something that most voters agreed with and getting hung for it in here.....

It says a lot, the libs still don't get it. If they can't see it that is pathetic and would be a waste of time trying to explain it to them.

But wouldn't it also be free speech...if I called obama a nigger

Bad taste and tacky and racist....but true, it would be your opinion and thus FREE SPEECH( according to the rules you all want to play by..)

Yep- thats just like when you walk up to a cop and call him a f---ing pig or some other remark--freedom of speech.....
But when you swing at him after he "accidentally" stands on your toes/foot- then you get a trip to jail.....

Anyway thats what I've been told

This whole thread is silly. The crap that has been said about Obama and others whose politics differ in this forum is outrageous.

Axelrod showed poor judgment since he has an official function. Get over it.

What he said is MINOR compared to the utter BS and ugly lies and misogynist or racist things said by the heroes of the far right, Ann and Rush.

What hypocrites and cry babies.

So, why do you Liberals think it is not right to call Obama the n word, but it is fine to call Miss California the d or b word? The title of this post sums it up, "where is the outrage?" Liberals' grasp (or lack thereof) with reality never ceases to amaze me.

the thing is the President and the Office of the President should not get into name calling. They have other things to do other than act childish. The selective outrage of the libtards is disgusting.

Reader, "The crap that has been said about Obama and others whose politics differ in this forum is outrageous."

IF you can't refute the majority of it, what makes it outragous? What I find outragous is that you libs ignore the crap he is pulling, yet defend him. Maybe traitorous is a better word.

HUH? Natalie Maines' infamous statement about President Bush was made in early 2003 during the buildup to the Iraq War. The Dixie Chicks' career immediately went down the tubes and the following year Bush received over 3 million more votes than Kerry. How do you figure most voters agreed with it?
