This would have been a better opportunity to use Photoshop. But I guess they needed it done quickly for the 100 day celebrations!
Disclaimer: I do not believe this was an act by an "Evildoer", just further proof of incompetence!

White House Deflects Questions on NYC Plane Incident
Susan Davis reports on the White House.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs offered little clarity on this morning’s incident in New York City in which Air Force One—escorted by a military jet—flew over Manhattan this morning for a photo op, prompting evacuations and other concerns. The president was not on board.
(For more on the incident, read this Wall Street Journal story.)
New York City police said the flight was authorized by the Federal Aviation Authority. The Air Force is directing media inquiries to the White House.
But asked at the podium if “you guys feel you owe folks in New York City this morning an apology for this incident” Gibbs, in turn, pointed the reporter back to the FAA and Air Force for comment.
Pressed on the issue, Gibbs said he would contact the White House Military Office but offered no further details on the incident. “I have seen some news reports,” he said, adding that he had nothing to add on top of what has already been reported.
“I was working on other things,” he said. “You might be surprised to know, I don’t know of every movement of Air Force One or what happens to it. But I will certainly talk to the Military Office.”
UPDATE: In a statement, Louis Caldera, Director of the White House Military Office, said that he approved the “mission” last week, although he provides no details on the purpose of the flight. “Last week, I approved a mission over New York. I take responsibility for that decision,” he said,”While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it’s clear that the mission created confusion and disruption. I apologize and take responsibility for any distress that flight caused.”
