People appreciate somebody who sets a tone, a tone that values life.
-- George W. Bush, June 5, 2000

-Estimated 100,000+ Iraqi civilian deaths.
-2,506 coalition military deaths as of 3/3/06

I believe the most solemn duty of the American president is to protect the American people.
--George W. Bush, March 31, 2005

-1300+ dead in Katrina
-1,900+ still missing from Katrina as of 2/22/06

That's it...step right up and blame George W. Bush for Katrina.

For crying out loud...you absolutely take the cake. Where have you been anyway...back in the looney bin and you escaped?

I'm not blaming Bush for Katrina. I'm blaming him because thousands of American citizens are still without a place to live after Katrina. I'm blaming him for lying that no one had a glimmer that the levies wouldn't hold after he was briefed that they might not. He lied....again. And you defend him.

That is your opinion and as for me, I don't believe you.

You don't believe what? Incompetence is the keystone of the Bush Administration. I'll give you a very short list:

1. Iraq - they refused to listen to professional military and send enough troops. They refused to turn Iraq over to the State Dept after Saddam fell. (Colin wasn't one of "the boys.") Then they tried to give it to State after Condi was Sec, but it was too late.

2. Katrina - Bush appointed a dunderhead to run one of the few competent agencies in the US government. Look where it got us. If you think this is not an incompetent bunch, look at this:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060306/ap_on_go_co/homeland_insecurity

3. Medicare Part D (for Disaster) - thousands, if not millions, of elderly Americans are going without their medications because of the incompetence of this bunch! Or the states are paying for their meds with a "promise" from the Bush Bunch that they'll be reimbursed, just as soon as they get things straightened out.

4. After five years of being told we're at risk for another terrorist attack from Muslims, this Administration puts an Arab country in charge of many of our ports! And not just any Arab country. Two of the 9/11 highjackers came from that country, money funding the operation came from that country and they have given comfort and support to Bin Laden!

1. Enough Troops? :? :???: :? Didn't our Brave Men and Women kick butt in record time, and with less casulties than your liberal media had predicted? And don't try and quote how many have died in this war. Thats a result of war, but if you care to go back before this all started you can find reports of how many we would lose in this fight and we haven't gotten anywhere close to what was crammed down our throats in the days leading up to the war. So much like everything else you post, your #1 is another one of those liberal talking points.
2. You, al gore and many many other liberal democrats need to quit living in the past. The 2000 election is long over and so is Katrina. Why are you not pointing any fingers at Nagin? Seems to me he holds more responsiblity in this than Bush. But since he's a lib you wouldn't dare say anything about him HUH? Oh yeah you link in #2 HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KATRINA. ( I Know   )
3. Another liberal talking point designed to scare elderly Americans into voting for your party.
4. This ain't as bad as you would like it to be. You and your party are not for the defense of our country, never have been but now with this deal you are all concerned and speaking out agaginst it. You are against it because they are Arabs??? Did I get that right? When your party heard that we were doing survielence (don't forget the Patriot Act) on possible terrorists ya'll pitched a fit and said it was wrong but now your against these people working in our ports? Maybe President Bush did this on purpose just to watch you libs talk in circles and run around with your foot in your mouth.

Good to have you back though. I guess you got that fax machine back up and running and you can now recieve those daily talking points faxes from the demo. party.

Actually, Dis, for every story like this, there is one for the other side. Sorry, you haven't convinced me...and I highly doubt you ever will.

Exactly what don't you believe?

That General Shinseki said: ""I would say that what's been mobilized to this point, something on the order of several hundred thousand soldiers."

or that "Mr. Wolfowitz, the deputy defense secretary, opened a two-front war of words on Capitol Hill, calling the recent estimate by Gen. Eric K. Shinseki of the Army that several hundred thousand troops would be needed in postwar Iraq, "wildly off the mark." Pentagon officials have put the figure closer to 100,000 troops. Mr. Wolfowitz then dismissed articles in several newspapers this week asserting that Pentagon budget specialists put the cost of war and reconstruction at $60 billion to $95 billion in this fiscal year."

And then Rumsfeld named Shinseki's replacement without giving him a new assignment, effectively retiring a man who had spent much of his life protecting and serving this country?

You tell me which of these men was right?

Or perhaps you don't believe that thousands of elderly Americans are not getting the drugs they depend on to live because they trusted the Bush Bunch and signed up for Medicare Part Disaster?

My guess is you only need to talk to your local pharmacist and get the facts on that one.

But, silly me, you wouldn't let the facts stand in the way of your Bush worshiping.

Our brave men and women kicked butt and toppled Saddam. But they didn't have the troops to destroy munitions sites. So the anti-American groups were able to make bombs and kill thousands of people. A lack of troops meant they couldn't secure the borders so terrorists have flocked to Iraq for their best chance to kill and defeat the Americans.

2. You, al gore and many many other liberal democrats need to quit living in the past. The 2000 election is long over and so is Katrina. Why are you not pointing any fingers at Nagin? ( I Know   )

No, the link has nothing to do with Katrina. It shows that this bunch of incompetents running our government can't even keep the Homeland Security building safe, at least according to some guards working there. Katrina is not over for the people living in tents and their cars on the Gulf Coast. Nagin's fate will be decided by the voters in his district, not me or you. You may not give a care about how your government is treating other Americans, but many do and will remember that when they go to vote later this year.

3. Another liberal talking point designed to scare elderly Americans into voting for your party.

Medicare D has been a disaster for this Administration. They love to tell us how many thousand people have signed up, but most of the ones who have signed up already had a drug benefit from their private insurace. They were cut off the private insurance and had no choice but to sign up for the Disaster. Elderly Americans are one of the largest voting blocs in the country. They know who's responsible for this debacle.

4. This ain't as bad as you would like it to be. You and your party are not for the defense of our country, never have been but now with this deal you are all concerned and speaking out agaginst it. Intersting comment. For the first time in years a poll showed that Americans think the Dems would be better at defending this country. Makes me smile. :)

Good to have you back though. I guess you got that fax machine back up and running and you can now recieve those daily talking points faxes from the demo. party.

I don't need a fax. All one has to do is watch the news and see what a disaster this Administration has been for this country.

Debt - largest deficit in history
Death - thousands of people dead because Bush wanted Saddam
Disaster - thousands homeless and without jobs and virtually no help from the Bush Administration.
Corrupt - Frist, Delay, Cunningham, Libby all indicted or under investigation.
Liars - Bush told us we were safe from wiretaps because he needed a warrant. But all the time he had the NSA listening in on our conversations.
Idiots - Cheney shoots his hunting companion in the face and refuses to talk to the police for 24 hours. I guess he thought no one would notice.
Hypocrites - Bush tells us we're in a post 9/11 world. Then he wants to turn our ports over to a country that supported some of the 9/11 terrorists.

Who needs a fax?

Same old Dis just a different day. :)

1. So are you for or against the war?

2. So since nagin did nothing to evacuate HIS people it's more Bushs fault?
Is that because he is a Republican and nagin, well never mind..

3. What did the previous dem do for medicare when in office?

4. So now the libs are in the business of NATIONAL DEFENSE?  Give me a break, if gore was in office on 9/11 you would be wearing a turbin right now.

Oh, I was against the Iraqi war before it started.

2. So since nagin did nothing to evacuate HIS people it's more Bushs fault?

Nagin did issue an evacuation order. He's also a lifetime Republican, until he decided to run for Mayor of NO. Bush lied about being surprised that the leveys didn't hold. Does that bother you that your President lied? Guess not. My problem with Bush is what has happened since Katrina, the absolute incompetence of FEMA, of sitting in my living room watching Americans, citizens of one of the greatest country in the world, suffering and dying on television for the world to see, bodies floating in the streets, dead in wheelchairs covered up with blankets.

3. What did the previous dem do for medicare when in office?

Oh, I love it. True to form, when Bush is in a jam, bring up Clinton! ROTFLMAO! The previous administration didn't have to do anything for Medicare. It's been a good, solid, reliable program for the elderly. Only since Bush has been in the White House have elderly Americans started to worry about their healthcare. Bush sold the whole country out when his administration refused to let Medicare take bids on drugs. Every other drug program can do that, but not Medicare. Why? Because they owe the drug companies. Clinton didn't stop the elderly from ordering drugs from Canada. Bush has. Why, because he owes the drug companies.

4. So now the libs are in the business of NATIONAL DEFENSE?  Give me a break, if gore was in office on 9/11 you would be wearing a turbin right now.

It was a poll by well respected pollsters and American citizens said they would trust the Dems to better protect this country. That's what Bush has done for the Republican party. Once they were respected for fiscal responsibility. No more. Once they were believed to be strong on defence. No more.

It is titled, "Depleted Uranium – Testing and Toxicology".

Go to this link and find 20 abstracts of medical, published, papers illustrating the dangers of depleted uranium. Some by the Americal military themselves.

Over 500,000 USA soldiers on permanent disability because of DU, Chemical exposures, etc. DU is a weapon of mass distruction that is polluting the entire planet.

Dr. Chris Busby Report on DU in British Atmosphere http://www.llrc.org/aldermastrept.pdf

DU showing up in UK, levels during March 2003 Shock and Awe campaign rose to 1700 from the low 100's, in the UK. This was not from nuclear reactors or enrichment facilities. It is clearly demonstrated that the wind carried the nanoparticles from Iraq to England. People inhaled enough radioactive particles to ensure damage to their lungs, and any other tissue which the uranium particles migrated to.

We know the Democratic party is weak on defense.

We know Democrats don't have any solutions. They just like to have issues, not solutions.

We know Democrats are a large part of the problems with this country.

Who is "we"? You got a mouse in your pocket. According to the Rassmussen poll I posted, more Americans see Dems as stronger on defense than Republicans. You can thank George W. Bush for that.

Apparently the Dems will have to come up with solutions to the problems this incompetent bunch has caused in this country: deficit, Medicare D, corruption at the very highest levels of government... Right now the Republicans up for re-election are very busy covering their behinds and distancing themselves from George W. Bush.

But you didn't answer the question, FH: Who was right: General Shinseki or Bush's man, Paul Wolfowitz? Which one of them knew what was likely to happen in Iraq? Which one was spouting the "party line" and ignoring the facts because they didn't fit with Bush's plan?
