Lying King: "How many dollars have we already lost in exports due to the USDA's policy?"

None!

Japan banned our beef because we had bse, not because we didn't absorb the unnecessary expense of 100% testing THAT THE WORLD NOW RECOGNIZES AS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

Next stupid question!

Japan to check all imports of US processed meat for beef

Star Publications (Malaysia) Bhd

March 5, 2007

TOKYO (AP): Japan will check all processed meats imported from the United States after a shipment was found last week with sausages containing beef in violation of regulations aimed at containing mad cow disease, an official said Monday.

Last Friday, Japan suspended imports from Jobbers Meat Packing Co. after a 1,108-box shipment was found to include two types of sausages in 188 boxes that listed beef as an ingredient.

Japan bans the import of U.S. meat products such as sausage that contain processed beef under restrictions aimed at controlling the threat of mad cow disease, the common name for bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

Following Friday's discovery, Japan plans to open and inspect all shipments of processed meat from the U.S., Agriculture Vice Minister Yoshio Kobayashi said.

"It was truly disappointing that this incident should have occurred,'' Kobayashi told reporters, without indicating whether the stepped-up inspections would be temporary or permanent.

Ministry officials have found that only one of the two types of problem sausage sent by the Los Angeles-based company actually contained beef, despite beef being listed on the labels of both types, Kyodo News agency reported.

Inspectors at airports and ports currently check about 30 percent of processed meat products imported by Japan, regardless of the nation of origin, Kyodo said. Processed meats include sausages, ham and bacon.

Last month Japan said it would suspend beef imports from a Nebraska processing plant after finding meat in a shipment that violated a regulation imposed over mad cow concerns.

Plant owner Tyson Foods Inc. said the boxes of beef were mistakenly included in a shipment destined for export from its Tyson Fresh Meats plant in Lexington.

Eating meat contaminated with mad cow disease is linked to variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a rare but deadly nerve disorder.

That's supposed to prove your argument Lying King???

You proved my point!

The lack of Japanese exports is due to BSE AND THE RESULTING GUIDELINES which doesn't have a damn thing to do with 100% testing. BSE testing wasn't even mentioned in this article.

Really, you can't do any better than that?

Who is losing out, by not being able to export beef from the US? The producers and the smaller packers thats who, the big packers are still servicing that market from other countries. are they not.

Ben,

Japan is phasing out their 100% testing program. There was never any proof that we could have gained Japanese export markets to pre bse levels by conducting 100% bse testing. The argument to the contrary is nothing more than a USDA blamers EMPTY POSITION. Par for their course.

Had Japan asked for 100% testing and if they were still asking for 100% testing and if 100% testing was scientifically justified (WHICH THEY ARE NOT AND WHICH IT IS NOT), there is nothing to stop large packers from testing as well as small packers. The difference here was that Creekstone wanted to capitalize on the "ILLUSION OF SAFETY" by selling bse tested beef from cattle under 24 months of age from a test that would not reveal bse prions in cattle under 24 months of age. That is deception and that's why it wasn't allowed.

Had the large corporate packers tried to deceive Japanese consumers these packer blamers would have been screaming bloody murder. GUARANTEED!

You prove once again your inability to see the truth, SH. Where do you think your credibility is going?

If Japan gets rid of bse in its native herd through years of feed ban and testing all of their animals to stop it, do you think they want imports to come in and possibly give some of their citizens the resulting disease? Their ag. food safety is under scrutiny for the job they do---and much more effectively than ours.

If they do eradicate it by 100% testing, do you think they will need to keep testing? They may decide they can stop at some point because they have all transmission routes stopped, not because some gopher trapper like you says it!

Lying King: "You prove once again your inability to see the truth, SH. Where do you think your credibility is going?"

What would you know about truth and credibility? You are the biggest damn liar this forum has ever seen and you want to lecture on truth and credibility?? Give me a break!

Fly larvae in your beef, Walmart selling Select beef as chioce, back door meetings, paid off politicians, market manipulation.

Try something once Lying King. Just once I'd like to see you bring something factual to back a belief you hold instead of cheap talk grandstanding that you are so well known for.

Come on, let's see it JUST ONCE.

I, Lying King, believe .......yada yada.......and here's the supporting evidence....

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! As if that would ever happen.

You are truly the biggest phony that ever graced this site with your total stupidity.

Using that stupid logic, OUR BEEF WOULD BE CONTAMINATED NOW BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE JAPANESE IMPORTS ARE COMING FROM.

Lying King: "If they do eradicate it by 100% testing, do you think they will need to keep testing?"

100% testing doesn't have anything to do with BSE irradication.

GREAT JOB LYING KING! You proved once again why you are the true LYING KING! The village idiot!

Sandcheska: "Saving the Japanese from themselves again, SH?"

That was your job! You claimed they want tested beef as they import non tested beef.

Saving US consumers from themselves with COOL.
Saving Feeders from their own marketing agreements.
Saving Japanese consumers from non tested beef.

The arrogance of an R-CULT lemming!
