They were not paid on those blundered contracts, which I said they should have, and you continued to think they were.

I'll try again... Yes they were...

FACT
Quote:
The Department of Interior (DOI) did eventually succeed in renegotiating lease terms with some of the oil companies.[66] On December 14, 2006, Assistant Secretary of Land and Minerals Management C. Stephen Allred announced that the government had signed agreements with BP, ConocoPhillips, Marathon Oil Company, Shell, and Walter Oil and Gas Corporation. Under the agreements, these companies agreed to begin paying royalties on oil and gas produced under leases issued in 1998-1999.

RIKs were never just GW's idea. They have been around for a long time. My point was that they were not paid on the blundered contracts.

does it matter who's idea it is,.. it wasn't yours.. Bush expanded the program... even while you were whining about it not being done... he had already done it..

your complaint was that it wasn't done... when in FACT,.. Bush expanded the program..

No, Steve. Wrong on reading comprehension. The IG pointed it out in 2000 but it was not given attention until the press release on it:

the facts don't support your opinion.....

steve, you are about as dumb as they come. Those contract errors were pointed out in 2000 when tax revenue was not being collected on over 34 dollar oil. It took the NYT article to make it happen.

Perhaps you need to construct a time line-- or did you miss learning how to do that in shcool?

The agreement did not include all of the companies and was only a start to paying those royalties.

Go ahead, keep defending an incompetent Clinton administration then a slow Bush administration and regulatory agencies who keep giving govt. assets away to rich corporations.

You would fit right in with that D.C. crowd----as long as it lasts.
