I mean really who needs one now? today? and didn't get one?

... most either ,...
have cable
Direct TV
or has already planned ahead and recieved thier box...

The poll answer yes should for a person who needs one and didn't get one...

not be for those who are getting a second one
or for a story they read..

or second or third hand account of some one they know, knows someone who didn't get one cause they didn't know it was happening...

but if you truely didn't get one.. I think most on here would like to know why you didn't get one already?

but if you need one and didn't get one..

As I've read it, they are making them available to "vulnerable" citizens/communities.

Everybody will get a converter, and then they will pass the "No conservative, No Christian Channel" bill!

The good news is, that everyone will know where to register your guns, and find a "collector", to sign the transfer of any gun to your family members.

Incredible as this will seem, we haven't had TV since 1980. We raised our four kids without it. We do have a DVD player so we can watch movies.

I dont have one and dont plan on getting one. As of now I get my news from the internet. As for programing I would prefer to watch DVDs.
I dont have cable or satilight nor intend to get either. Why pay for news and movies twice?

I bought 2 of them several months ago. I am so bad about doing things way early or at the last minute so I got it out of the way early. I didn't think about getting the coupons I just bought them at wal-mart.
Now I find out I don't need them. We are still on an antenna with old TV's but get our 5 channels out of Los angeles from a small station about 35 miles away. I guess the smaller stations don't have to switch over and ours is not going to so I wasted my money. Well not for both because Hubby is working in Nevada and all the Las Vegas stations are switching.
Now all we need to do is figure out how to make the darn thing work in the travel trailer! We are pretty challenged when it comes to technology

IF I needed one I'd gladly buy the thing and say no thanks to Washington. Unfortunately my mother in law got two of them. One for the tv in the office nobody watches and one for the tiny little tv on her treadmill that she never walks on. Course she voted for Little "O" too.

that was what I would think, that any one who needed one had already bought one, or would have cable and not need it..

but apparently three people don't have one on here and still need one..

I mean really,... if getting a digital converter box by a certain date is to tough, can the government really help you?

has our government let some get to the point that even simple tasks such as buying a digital converter box can't be overcome? ..

My Question to those three is do you need the government to bail out your lack of planning on everything?

Maybe if they wanted to create American Jobs, instead of a coupon for more Chinese converter boxes for people who can't even buy them with out assistance,... they would give out a coupon for a person to hook and set the darn thing up! :!:

I had thought about getting rid of my satellite system....Dish Network.......and go to air stations only. There are dozens available now and all I would miss would be Foxnews and ESPN.

Well.....I went to the website to apply for a converter coupon and they asked what I was using at present. I told them satellite and they immediately rejected me.

I then explained that I wanted to stop paying for the satellite system but couldn't until I got a converter box. They still rejected me..

If they would only use that same logic in food stamp applications!

"Have you ate today?" If so no food stamps!

We need one. We had one but it already went out and we took it back to the store we bought it from, they didn't have anymore, so we have to catch it when they get them in again and we got a credit. This stinks.

We also have a digital tv that does work.
