Two exciting things have happened here...First of all this it the weekend when Bruce (the guy we lease our rangeground from) brings his buddies down bi,rdhunting. As you might remember, I get sick of all the company we have . It's mostly Bruce and his 'people', they have been here everyother weekend, sometimes more than that...gets old. Anyway, when they got here on thursday, one of them said he had an announcement to make - they got me a laptop!!! Brandnew, HP Presario. How cool is that?! So I am sitting in my easy chair in the livingroom right now, instead of being out in the 'apt' in my office.

Secondly and even more exciting is that it rained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't had my rain gauge up all year so don't know how much it rained but I bet a good half inch anyway. Ran through the corral and everything. Nice slow rain off and on yesterday, then really got after it during the night.

Tonight we are going out with the neighbors for their 55th anniv. Should be fun :)

Now this is hard to believe after the stories we heard about you being the BUM DARTS champ north of the 49th....Somehow- I envision you've been "out and aboot" a time or two...

Glad to hear you got rain Nickey--we got a few drops during the night which froze to the windows-- which turned to pea soup fog that made gathering cattle for shipping this morning quite interesting...Good thing these are black cattle- as you'd have never found them if they were chars....

Sorry Mike, no excess yet...but I will keep you in mind if get extra :) Have you seen the Davis's lately? I've been calling but can't get ahold of them. And did you hear about Fred Dileo's wreck? (A bird dog trainer who won The National Championship last year) There is a picture of it on the field trail website...tore the front of his pickup right off the chassis, he was killed instantly  Very sad, we didn't know him that well. They hunt chukars, Huns, and Valley (or california) quail. You"re right, no bobwhites. Had a few that escaped from our callback pen but havn't seen them lately.

You're right Mrs. Greg...going out is a big deal :) especially with these neighbors. They are the neatest people in the world. They and their whole family have adopted us. In fact tonight is them, their 3 kids and spouses, her brother...and us :) Makes us feel pretty special.
