They are gone, and it is a relief. Prices were much better than they have been. Our steers averaged $600 !!! Probably about $50 off last year, but I'm not complaining. The heifers were at $463, quite a bit less, but then we kept all the good heifers at home.

Some highlights (of our calves)

4 red steers (all 1/2 or more shorthorn) 681 lbs @ .99
2 bbrf steers 690 lbs @ 1.0075
8 red and rbrf steers 652 @ 1.0250
7 Blk and bbrf steers 628 @1.06
13 red and rbrf steers 549 @1.0475
5 blk and bbrf steers 562 @1.0550
4 rwf steers 493 @ 1.0825
1 hereford steer (remember the preemie) 527 @ 1.0375
2 bbrf steers 389 @1.2950
13 blk and bbrf heifers 466 @ 1.0225
1 bbrf hfr 606 @.8850
2 rbrf hfr 525 @ .9025

It was a presort with 3638 head in the sale, and it was a good sale, I would imagine most of the sellers would have come away with a smile on their face. We sure did.....

Glad thing's went well for you all.If you would have sold them at our local salebarn the prices would have been about the same.So with your strong dollar you could come down here and buy back more than you sold.Congrat's

Those prices are a lot better than any we've seen for a while.

Way to go! :D
