Who's steering this sinking GOP ship?

So this is a party that's not just adrift, but fighting about which way to steer the lifeboat. And over who's its captain.

conservatives often disregard "appointed" or "anointed" leaders,

some people feel as if they must have an appointed and anointed leader, so the concept of needing a leader appeals to liberals, who like to be led... and can't even run a life boat with out one...

BTW it's been less then two months since Obama took over.. we have plenty of time to bring up new leaders, and plenty of time for your liberal leaders to be exposed for who they really are...

and right now Rush is "exposing" faults in your anointed / appointed leaders.. so he appears to be the clear leader anointed by the liberals,.. but only to those liberals who need to see a leader so they can focus thier anger (and blame) against someone,

I will steer my own life until someone comes up who I see as capable and then I will support them... until then I will listen to what every one says and chart my own course... just like most conservatives are already doing..

I think there is more [turbulence] in the Democratic side because the Republicans are amazingly united and galvanized by Barack Obama's agenda towards socialism.

I agree with Sammons on that...........

This isn't really that big of a deal. The Democrats at the end of Clintons term went through much the same thing. They lost control of congress the previous election cycle and then they put up a week candidate to run in the presidential election.

The Republicans will regroup. The Democrats will give them lots of issues to run on. They are having a war of ideas about the direction of the party. That is a good thing. Everyone needs to feal like they have had their say and then they will move forward. If not. I foresee a third party evolving as a last ditch attempt at saving the country from huge gov't run amuck. The way things have been going, the Repubs and the Dems have been going down the same road, but the Democrats have now put it into high gear.

The Republican leadership had better realize that they can't out liberal the Democrats and offer up candidates that can actually offer a change rather than just a R in front of their name.

Lack of Leadership Causing Chaos in Republican Party

Well, let's see. Steele criticizes Limbaugh. The press is ecstatic. Steele apologizes to Limbaugh. The press is ecstatic. What's up with that?

The White House, after almost two months of painting an almost hopeless picture of doom and gloom, has come up with a plan to bring stability and happier times back to America. The plan? Demonize Rush Limbaugh and any other conservative that dares to speak up. "I know you're worried about the economy, the stock market, Iran, North Korea, losing your job, immigration, terrorism, the national debt, and a host of other things. But I'm afraid we're going to have to put these things on the back burner for now. We need to prioritize. The REAL problem we face is Rush Limbaugh. Let's take care of him and everything else will be a piece of cake........... when we finally decide to get to it. Trust us."

Chaos? You want chaos? Then quit believing all this maufactured crap about the Republicans and take a look at the inept way the White House is being run and the incoherence of their lackeys in the national press. There's your chaos.

Right on the money, VanC.

There's a long history of conservatives that the left has had in their crosshairs and ruined one by one. Now they're targeted on Rush. R2 is following marching orders to a T. I simply can't imagine conservatives uniting to destroy any of the talking heads on the left like this Administration and his minions are attempting to do to Rush. The attempted destruction of any others speaking out against this communist in training Administration to follow.

Conservatives don't employ hate tactics to destroy liberals - they debate them.

You missed the post where I said I did not agree with the Democratic tactic to target Rush. I would rather that they ignored him.

I don't agree with everything I post. I post it because it's what's on the mind of the country. I find this period of political life at the moment very interesting and I like to observe and speculate as to what is really going on and why.

Well I finally found something I can agree with you on I don't agree with everything you post either if fact I will do better than that I don't believe anything you post. But I do have to wonder why you don't put a disclaimer on your post so we know which ones you actually believe and which ones you think are a pack of lies.
