Why didn’t Dems pass a budget when they had the chance?

Jon Stewart to Nancy Pelosi: Why didn’t Dems pass a budget when they had the chance?

“Republicans would have filibustered it.”

Too bad budgets can’t be filibustered

They require a simple majority in both House and Senate to pass. What’s more: When Democrats did control both houses, they had a supermajority in the Senate. Republicans could have filibustered only with the help of Democrats. No way to pin this one on Republicans — and, yet, Pelosi still tries. Predictable.

One would think if the gov't should need to pass a budget every year. If it can't pass a budget then the government has lost the confidence of the people and should be dissolved. At least that is is how a democratic government should work. :?
Got some catching up to do down there I think

the democrats actually don't want to pass a budget.. right now we are using continuing resolutions to fund our budget..

here is what that means.. when Obama and the democrats took over they passed a massive mega budget.. the mother of all budgets.. a budget buster if you must..

and now by not passing a budget they continue on at the same funding level .,... well not really, it goes up with a regular annual increase..

so passing any budget now would actually cut into the one they initially passed... so they get more every year without voting for more..

plus they can whine about not having a passed budget..
