It seems to me that there are quite a few "liberals" posting, too. Besides, it would be boring if only one side posted.

get Macon to post on political bull, that only conservative Americans can post thier thoughts.

why is it liberals can't compromise,.. and always put forth an extreme all or nothing policy?   (joking)

ok seriously,.. how about just seperating the liberal hate Bush threads to thier own site.. that way they could rant,..whine and solve nothing to their hearts content... we could call it some cute name, (like *Air World) and the world could ignore them with out being forced to start reading thier multi-page whine-fests...   (joking again) but it would be nice,..

any ways... why the hurt feelings?

*Air world was chosen over Air America , (the failed left wing hot air radio flop) to be more inclusive of others ,..

I believe Macon has posted before the main requirement for participating on Political Bull. That is that the person must have thick skin!

What fun would it be if we all agreed?

Would you really prefer to say something bad about our President and no one disagree or challenge you on it? If so in reality it seems what you are really saying is you would like a website were only Liberal Canadians can post their thoughts unchallenged!

Democrats have found out over the last several years what compromise means to the Bush Administration. I hope we have very little of that from the new Congress in 2009.

Steve, your right my feelings were hurt,I took exception to your post implying I've ever in my life felt hate,it wasn't until this last month,in all my 48 years that I've even ever felt anger, and that was years coming and took a personal attack on one of my children for me to feel that.

Aminus.....were you scared by a Canadian at some time in your youth or maybe your Momma was scared by one when preg. with you?

You seem to the greatest aversion to anyone in Canada I've ever encountered.

Have you ever been to the Great White North Country?

If you weren't aware you were crossing that straight line between the 2 countries....you'd hardly notice a difference.

Get a grip man!!!

My post wasn't directed at you, while it might have appeared to be directed at liberals who seem to want to ferment the hatred... It was an effort to show how damaging these pointless "hate Bush" "Hitlery" posts really are... and that both sides should refrain from the needless repeated bashing.

I apologize,... nothing more could be said, but, I am sorry that you feel I was hard on you.

Thx Steve but aplus is probably right if I'm going to post on here I need to have thicker skin.

A piece of Info .for you guys,I come from Alberta...THE strongest conservative province in Canada,I'm a card carrying member of our conservative party, voted in the last conservative leadership election and helped a friend that was running for the leadership party[ he lost out on the first round},but I don't find it to be an insult when you guys imply I'm a liberal,I seem to be in pretty good company, and I like to think I'm open minded to people and new thoughts.I've been trying to stand aside when you guys talk about your country and leaders, the last thread I replied to was about the world,I answered because I feel like I'm a part of the world that was being discussed, and put my 2 cents in.I had never heard the word neo-con{2 words :???: } until I started reading ranchers political bull,I do know for a fact I don't belong in that classification, actually I truly don't know anyone in my province full of conservs. that belong in that class,so that may be the prob. with my posts and the difference with Canada and the US conservatives....I'm just starting to see that.Anyway enough rambling ..I'll try and stay out of your way,if my Scottish background will allow that.....

Man you got that right. Especially with the posters on this forum that are farther out of touch. Reading their posts is like reading Star or Globe. Aplus uses a bit of reasoning from time to time and gets hisself blasted.

That idea has merit since it's only conservatives who actually think....

I used to think that too--until they came up with this neoconservative line of thinking- which is all about profiteering for the corporate world- and has nothing to do with real conservative beliefs..Enter GW/Cheney/etal :( :(

The question is, who determines who is a "liberal" and who only uses the term to push a myopic and uninformed view of reality.

I do like Soapweed's explanation of "liberal", giving the freedom for youngsters to chart their own course instead of being clones of their parents.

Most influential life lessons are learned by oneself, not taught by others. Liberalism allows that.

By the way, I saw Lou Dobbs on CNN was it, railing against the illegal alien issues of the day and Mexico's hypocritical corrupt system. He has made the most sense of anyone I have seen regarding the issue.

You oughta read the Index page

Lively political debate. Republicans, Democrats, independents, conservatives and even misguided liberals discuss politics and our government.

Are you trying to say something here, passin? If so, just say it.

I guess it eludes me to why I must have a problem with Canada since all I am doing is defending the U.S. and its President against negative words.

And yes I have been to Canada a couple times.

But you do notice that after the youngster did things her own way for a bit, she finally saw the logic in the conservative thought process after all. Her dad handled it well; he allowed her go her own way until she figured out what was right. He would make a good "kid whisperer" because he made the wrong thing hard and the right way easy. He's a good dad, and she is an apt student.

This statement still has merit: "If you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative when you're old, you have no brain."

I totally understood what you said, Soap, and agree.

One thing I am worried about is that people will be swayed by the term "conservative" and not the meaning.
