Why has the USA Act Bill not been heard from again?

In reading this, it looks fair to me.It was a bi-partisan bill to boot, introduced January 2018.

I have heard that President Trump was for this, but one of his advisors, Stephen Miller is very anti-immigrant and advised him against it. It lacked 4 votes in the Senate to pass. Why, with all the uproar over the border/immigration, has this not been brought up again? Why punish those who have been here through no fault of their own, are productive people, can prove it and will continue to abide by what is required?

Likely that proposal makes too much sense, so won't get anywhere in todays political circles in the USA.

Apparently, there still needs to be some 'house' cleaning in Congress. Could there be a better place to begin than with madame Pelosi? Her arrogance and 'holier than thou, 'privilege deserved' attitude toward herself is sickening, at best.

We can’t move on anything that might pull more illegal invaders this way until we have the infrastructure to stop them. We need the wall.

Faster, Stephen Miller will be attacked because he is a brilliant American loving aide to the President and has played a large role in saving our country.

The media tries to discredit him as a racist. But they say that about anyone who doesnt believe in open borders.

The media hates him for a reason, he is Patriot.

As Brad said, we have to have a wall before we can do anything about DACA. It's why POTUS wouldn't deal with Chuck a year ago. There wasnt a wall. Talk of DACA would be mass influx of unregistered democrats.

Now that we have the border wall in construction, and the military helping to provide security, POTUS can return to DACA to show how the DEMS really don't care about the kids. They just used them in the past for political leverage.

Watch what happens.

By 2020, the democratic party will be no more. The propoganda media will be no more....you can already see a glimpse of this with the past two weeks. Much more is coming...

This is part of the wake up of hispanic Americans.

The wake up of black America is coming as well.

We will be a unified people....all Americans.

Sounds good to me! It's definitely we returned to the positive immigration system we used to have where we allow entry of people with skills we need, who want honest work and to raise families in freedom from oppression.

Some of my ancestors, as many people did in the early years of our country, came as indentured servants who worked their way out of that debt and went on to raise their families. Many generations later there are many of us, most of whom don't even know that part of our history. And doubtless, as many other families, we have our share who haven't contributed much! I believe, and certainly hope, that those who behaved properly, worked wisely, and contributed to the country by raising good families are in the majority. After all, if majorities of all people from the generations of immigrants and natives families didn't do that, we wouldn't have all the wonders
the people of the USA have achieved at this point in time!

Sure, there is 'bad stuff' in the world! I believe we need to split the blame for that slightly less on the 'under achievers' in our family tree than on the few who believed themselves superior and worked to assure their fellow elitists run things behind the scenes in this world, certainly in the USA...….sorta like Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts!

Oh NO! Please, God, send me a message that we don't share that family tree!!!

Oh, and forgive me for my streak of 'mean spiritedness! I do try to keep it under wraps most of the time.

mrj,

I'm with you. I'm all for a regulated immigration system where people will come in willing to contribute and receive the benefits of fhe country in return.

Looking at some of the information, it looks like once the border is secure, we will make it easier for legal non citizen workers to participate here. There are industries that would benefit from them, and them from the work (agriculture in particular). Which is what some fighting against the wall are saying they want.

I think this will benefit us, and Mexico as Mexico is going to need something to replace the narcotic trade.

Obviously, most fighting against regulated immigration and a secure border are using many things as excuses, but aren't willing or capable to give their real reasoning for opposition.
