Why would they call for a vote that they knew would fail and cause the Stock market to drop like it did?

Why would they do this then take a couple days off and say they will fix it on Thursday?

Wonder how many Politicians will spend all day Tuesday and Wednesday buying stock in the falling stock market? So they can make a killing a few days later when it goes back up!

Those questions should be directed to Pelosi.

Pelosi? Puleeze! I'm no fan of Pelosi, but I think maybe Boehner needs to field that one. This was brought to the front by Bush...it's his baby.

Boehner told Pelosi 6 times that he couldn't bring the Repubs to support the bill. It was his fault that he didn't tell her 7 times?

It was a concept that Pelosi doesn't understand, it's called honesty.

Yep and I heard after the vote where Boehner said he thought he had the vote to pass it....But its apparent they turned on him- and GW...

As I heard today at the Coffee Shop and the Waterhole - GW even has a new name with Republicans- its &^#$*()) Bush- as its becoming even more apparent after months of trumpeting how strong the economy is-even with the Repubs they don't believe him or trust him anymore.....

Remember who said this was a disaster and said we need an immediate Bailout NOW- or the economy would crash- and they wonder why the stock market finishs 600 points down after the bill doesn't pass :???: .. Scare the Hell out of folks has been the tactic of the King for years- but noone believes him anymore...

So much for confidence in the King George regime....

I'm sayin'...if the republicans wanted it passed, they'd have gotten it passed. Blaming it on Pelosi is just a real t*tty baby response.

Personally, the right thing happened.

What adjective would you use for trying to sneak that "little" earmark for ACORN and LaRaza in? "Honest"? "Straight forward"?
Alice?

There's reasons why they didn't want it passed.

I take it you don't want to talk about Pelosi's "honesty" anymore.
