A top aide to Barack Obama voiced fears Sunday that Hurricane Sandy could hurt the president's re-election chances by reducing turnout, as the impending storm forced both candidates to cancel campaign stops. Republican challenger Mitt Romney received good news in two key swing states, winning the endorsement in Iowa of the main newspaper, the Des Moines Register, and tying Obama in a newly-released poll in all-important Ohio. But nine days out from the nailbiter November 6 election, all eyes were on Hurricane Sandy and how the potentially catastrophic storm might play out on the neck-and-neck race for the White House....

The idiots, it's his incompetence. If he had done his job instead of being on a four year vacation he could have won. Then if he had done the exact opposite of what he did he would have won hands down.

Call me cynical but I'm betting Obama is happy to have the storm as it is taking his actions or inaction over Benghazi off the minds of well over 60 million people and if the power does go out, those people are not going to see any new developments in the case. I can see the Obama Administration doing a document dump soon so it will be old news by the time everyone on the East coast is dug out and the power is back on.

You can rest assured they are having strategy sessions like never before. Strategy not especially for the storm but how the campaign will play the storm to their benefit. They can try and keep the storm in the news so to keep Libya out of the news. If all else fails they can play their trump card.

Never let a good catastrophe go to waste is at the top of their minds. Just have to keep the people like ot drinkin the koolaid for a few more days.
