The President of the United States of America. In El Paso, Texas to give a speech on immigration issues. And he turns it into a cutesy and juvenile political speech mocking Republicans and other citizens who have concerns about border security.

You Obama supporters must be so proud. Do any of you have the integrity to speak out against this partisan and childish behavior from the President of the United States of America?

He was joking about alligators in a moat. :(
They were actually killed in an accident during a pursuit. But, dead in the line of duty is still just as dead and it shows how serious the situation is on the southern border.

It's very unfortunate that some people on this very board don't seem to be willing to hold President Obama to the same standards as they held President Bush to. Some of those people seem to have greater concerns about cattle coming over the northern border than they do about criminals coming over the southern border.

The problem is Texan, who is going to run that will round them up and send them back and make them follow the laws already on the books to gain their citizenship??? So far we haven't had a candidate on either side of the aisle willing to enforce the law.

How about stopping the new flow in and cut off all the rosy perks that an illegal can get, then they will self deport. Don't let them send money back unless it can be proven it was legally acquired. Ever seen a Western Union on payday. Right there you have made a huge dent.

Ensign Ethics Charges Referred to Justice Department and FEC, Lurid Details Emerge
By Alex Altman Thursday, May 12, 2011 | 119 Comments

The Senate Ethics Committee released a report Thursday afternoon alleging that former Sen. John Ensign broke federal laws in a cover-up of the extramarital affair that torpedoed his once-promising career.

The bipartisan committee, which released its findings after a 22-month investigation, voted unanimously to refer the matter to the Department of Justice and the Federal Election Commission. "We have reason to believe that Sen. Ensign violated laws within their jurisdiction, " Ethics Committee chair Barbara Boxer said in a statement on the Senate floor.

The Nevadan's fall began in 2009, when he copped to conducting an affair with Cynthia Hampton, a former aide and the wife of Doug Hampton, one of Ensign's top staffers. Ensign admitted that his wealthy parents gave Doug Hampton a $96,000 "gift." The incident prompted three separate probes into whether Ensign had committed an ethical breach by orchestrating that payment or by helping Doug Hampton land a lobbying job that violated the Senate's one-year ban against lobbying by former staffers. Hampton was indicted earlier this year for allegedly lobbying the former Senator on behalf of aviation clients just three days after beginning his new job. (More on Time.com: See the top 10 political sex scandals)

The 75-page report outlines a series of allegations stemming from those incidents, including revelations that Ensign allegedly helped Hampton violate the temporary lobbying ban, lied to the SEC by framing the payment as a "gift" rather than a severance payout (which could violate federal election law) and obstructed the investigation by deleting his personal Gmail account, on which he stored correspondence related to the inquiry. There is "substantial cause to conclude that Senator Ensign violated Senate Rules and federal civil and criminal laws, and engaged in improper conduct reflecting upon the Senate, thus betraying the public trust and bringing discredit to the Senate," the report said.

The document also recounts salacious details from the affair itself, from the way it began (at Ensign's behest) to the Senator's badgering phone calls to Cynthia Hampton. According to the document, Doug Hampton first discovered their dalliance two days before Christmas in 2007, when his wife left her cell phone in the family car. It reportedly contained a suggestive text message from Ensign, saying he was "scared, but excited" about the tryst. Incensed, Hampton is said to have confronted his wife and "chased" Ensign around an airport parking lot. After a teary meeting as a foursome, the two couples celebrated Christmas together, the document says. But after a brief hiatus, the affair reportedly continued.

Both the FEC and the DOJ launched probes into the saga, but no charges were filed. After vowing to serve out his term, Ensign, 53, resigned last month, saying he had not violated any laws but wouldn't "continue to subject my family, my constituents, or the Senate to any further rounds of investigation, depositions, drawn out proceedings, or especially public hearings." Today's report almost assures he will suffer the scrutiny he sought to avoid.

Ensign's replacement, Dean Heller, was sworn in as Senator earlier this week.

Strange how a f__king liberal democrat sleazebag fat-ass slouch can even bring up the subject of an affair after the fiasco that Bill Clinton put this nation through.

I remember him well saying "I did not have sex with that woman"....while looking the nation in the eye.

Have you no shame at all?

I don't remember the Democrats running on a platform of being morality police- holier than thous- standing on their high moral and family values ...

Like Rush- and now you're cults leading candidates Newt and "the Donald"....With those three and Ensign leading or being the spokesmen for the Repub party- along with the closet queens like Larry Craig and Mark Foley as representatives of Repub hypocrisy- no married woman or small boy is safe with the moral and family values they seem to believe in !!!! :p

In 2004, Ensign spoke on the Senate floor in favor of the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment:

Marriage is the cornerstone on which our society was founded. For those who say that the Constitution is so sacred that we cannot or should not adopt the Federal Marriage Amendment, I would simply point out that marriage, and the sanctity of that institution, predates the American Constitution and the founding of our nation.

What a Hypocrit---What a Maroon!!---  :(

After hearing about Ensign yesterday- I was sure some of you holier than thou cult followers- or Mister Fair and Balanced- the Hypocritposter- would have taken up the flag and posted a chastisement...

But instead you continue to choose to attack Obama on an issue that neither party has done anything on for years (Reagans Amnesty was last big move- but even he never enforced the law against hiring illegals that was passed with it)...

Ike was the last to make a positive move over 50 years ago..

And then when a few years back Bush and McCain crawled in bed with Kennedy to promote the BUSH/MCCAIN/KENNEDY AMNESTY BILL-- it became very apparent to me that neither cult has the backbone to fight big business and special interests to do anything with the illegal invader problems...

If you've noticed, I haven't been around for the last few days.

Ensign is out, if a good Tea Party candidate runs against him. As well he should be.

If the ethics board was worth their weight in sand, there are many that should have been thrown out on their ears, the last couple of years.

If you notice though, who someone sleeps with has little affect on your life. Not as big an impact as policies that are being implemented with the intention of damaging the Country as a whole.

But hey, having voted for change, like you did and not getting it, you should be one of the most disappointed with what you voted for. True conservatives voted in some real change in 2010 and await the chance to vote for further change in 2012.

What are you working towards? Still back slapping your "chosen one"?

Nope. Methuselah is allowing him the courtesy of a reach around, if he's so inclined. And the word seems to be he was inclined, at one time.....

Oldtimer you are such a Piece of work. You can't defend you hero's childish comments down on the border the other day so you change the freaking subject. Obama calls for Bipartisanship then falls into a slime bucket and climbs out spewing his partisan crap. Any one with any self respect would speak out about his behavior but then I guess I would not expect anything different FROM YOU.
