I am not sure if they will be able to get the 60 votes in the senate..
but it will put everyone on record as a vote..
I believe the current healthcare uninformed bill is doomed in the form it is today... and they will dismantle replace most of it with better reforms..
With Reid refusing to take a vote I'd have to believe he isn't sure the Republicans won't get the 60 votes it would take. We all know if it does make it to Obama's desk he will not sign it. But his refusal to sign puts him and him alone against the will of the Majority of voters, Congress and Senate when he runs for re-election in 2012. NOT GOOD ODDS for a win.
I heard the other day that some think it will get through the Senate as some of the Dems that are facing re-election in 2012 do not want to seal their fate by voting to support a bill that they are now forced to admit is not a good bill, needs to be improved and the voters have proved with their votes they don't want in the worse possible way.
The Dems all stand yelling about getting back to work to create jobs and that should be their top priority but where was that priority when they were stuffing this bill through Congress in lightning speed. Back then Obama was telling everyone that would listen that to fix the Economy he first had to fix the HEALTHCARE PROBLEMS. So in the same train of thought if the Republicans are going to fix the economy don't they have to fix the mistakes Obama made in fixing the healthcare problems, which to the majority means REPEAL AND REPLACE IT.
