Per, is there a heck of a gorge there hidden somewhere? That looks like kind of a bit of overkill in that rolling country! Cool bridge though.

Thanks guys. Good to finally win something. H your question is best answered by Pure Country or Mrs. Greg as this bridge is up in their stomping grounds. You have to remember though that the railroad in Canada was mostly built from the East to the West and they were used to smoother terrain so maybe they just wanted to keep it flat a little longer. That valley is long and would have been quite a switchback somewhere to smooth it out for the train I would speculate. There is a closer one to me in Lethbridge that is taller but wouldn't you know it I have no pictures because we take for granted what is close to home.

Congratulations, per!!

That's a cool shot of a long bridge.
Interesting the things we get to view in the photo contest
that would be unknown if not for the pictures.
I always appreciate hearing a bit about the entries!

Thanks Jersey Lilly for keeping this going.
One more Sunday and I should be home for awhile!
