This came as an e-mail with a picture of the baby. I don't know how to bring the picture over here, but here is the content of the e-mail.

You won't recognize me, My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob my mother, who was also shot. A Grand Jury of my Mommy's peers from Brunswick, GA., determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty. Too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a Hate Crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise, President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me, so he doesn't care and the media doesn't care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton Or Jesse Jackson, because if there was, he would be declared racist. So there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation, and unlike those who shot me in the face, while I sat innocently in my stroller - I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

Thank you,

Antonio West

WAIT A MINUTE

The indictment by a Glynn County grand jury charges 17-year-old De'Marquise Elkins on 11 counts, including malice murder, in the slaying last Thursday of young Antonio Santiago a few blocks from his home in coastal Brunswick.

Another suspect, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, was indicted on seven counts including felony murder. But the indictment specifies that authorities believe it was Elkins who shot the child and wounded his mother with a .22-caliber revolver as the boys tried to steal money from her.

District Attorney Jackie Johnson of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit said in a statement Thursday she would not seek the death penalty against either suspect because Georgia law doesn't allow capital punishment for defendants charged with crimes committed before they were 18. Both teens are charged as adults.

Funny how all we heard about Trayvon Martin was he was an innocent 17 year old CHILD, But in this case there is a 15 year old and a 17 year old and they are both being charged as ADULTS.(WHICH BY ALL MEANS THEY SHOULD BE) SO Does that mean Trayvon should have been considered an ADULT TOO under the law and he wasn't because the prosecutor used the title CHILD to buy sympathy for a person that would have been charges for assault as an ADULT if the guy he was assaulting had not protected himself from that so called case of whup-azz? :?

AVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A Georgia teenager shot a 13-month-old baby in the face while trying to rob the child's mother, according to an indictment returned Wednesday that also charged the suspect with shooting another person in an unrelated robbery attempt earlier this month.

The grand jury also indicted three of Elkins' relatives on charges that they tried to help him after the shootings.

The suspect's mother, Karimah Elkins, and older sister, Sabrina Elkins, were charged with evidence tampering. The indictment says they threw the revolver that police suspect was used in the shooting into a saltwater pond where investigators recovered it Tuesday. Doering said the gun is being tested to see if it can be linked to the child's slaying.

Karimah Elkins and the suspect's aunt, Katrina Elkins, were also charged with making false statements to police. The indictment says the aunt told investigators her nephew was at her house when the slaying occurred — which she also told The Associated Press and other news outlets. It says the suspect's mother told police that her son was with her when the baby was shot.

what no charge of child abuse as well?

in full disclosure: the picture was taken at his first Christmas,.. and he was shot by the two black killers in late March.. a full three months later...

The picture "THE FAMILY" released of Trayvon was what made me believe they could not be trusted with the truth about the rest of the case. If they had a picture of Trayvon that was just days old and showed just how big that Young MAN was, then why did we not see that picture verses the ones that made him look much younger and smaller (CHILD LIKE) than the BIG BAD NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH BULLY. I will tell you why. As that family wanted to buy sympathy with those baby faced pictures and HIDE the truth about the pictures on his facebook page that showed a MUCH DIFFERENT TRAYVON.

BTW anyone that would kill a BABY is sick and should never be allowed to walk among the free ever again.

Wouldn't you love to know where Sharpton, Jackson, Holder, Obama, and the rest of the Race Baiters are when it comes to getting justice for this baby against these poor little black boys? Never mind, it was a Black on White case and Holder said early on he would not investigate a crime if it was a White Victim and a Black Perp. To bad we thought he meant only Voter Intimidation cases I guess he meant in ALL cases. :x
