Usually peaches are ripening the last of May first of June. They were in full bloom March 28 when I posted the pictures.

LOL Fasterhorses.....peaches don't travel well. Least not fresh ones. From Fredericksburg to here...which is a four hour drive.....there are usually some that are mush by the time we get home with em. Least these won't have that far to travel.......off the tree and across the creek to the house :D

Go plant you a tree Faster....my Mother has some in her yard and they produce some of the best tasting peaches you could want to eat! Freeze wipes them out on occasion but not any more often than it does the other fruit...she has apples, plums, apricots, mulberry, nankin, etc...

Missouri peaches are great too. Some friends came up during
peach season and brought us some. They were so juicy the
juice ran down your arm and dripped off your elbow. YUMMMMM!!!

Tibbs, I NEED TO TALK TO YOUR MOTHER!! She raises all that
stuff, she really does??????

Down here when we are expecting a freeze when the peaches are in bloom. Some folks will turn on a sprinkler right into the canopy of the tree. It'll cover with ice....but it doesn't hurt the blooms like frost does. Don't really make sense to me...but I've seen it done...and it works.

I'm wonderin what I can do to keep the squirrels and birds from stealin em when they start gettin ripe. I found a cast net layin on the side of the road....wonder if it's big enough to cover the tree and tie around the trunk.
