Not. Three hours. Bush took three hours out of his vacation to work on Iraq. It's really a priority for him. Link below; my emphasis.

"President Bush worked nearly three hours at his Texas ranch on Thursday to design a new U.S. policy in Iraq, then emerged to say that he and his advisers need more time to craft the plan he'll announce in the new year."

President Bush goes on the theory of "working smart instead of hard". Jimmy Carter did just the opposite. He "worked hard instead of smart". Look at what a fiasco Carter was as President. He was hands down the worst president of all time in my book.

Why do you even get up in the morning, Disagreeable? Your days are shot before they are ever started. I pity your poor husband.

Sorry for bringing this drivel from dis back to the top.....BUT.......no one pointed out the most obvious fault in the diatribe......

The fact that Pres. Bush worked three hours ON THE NEW POLICY!

Certainly that was not the ONLY work he did that day.

Then there is the nearly always overlooked fact that the president is NEVER off the job......it always goes with him.

He may be at a 'vacation' location, but the responsibility of the job is ALWAYS with him.

And: we haven't had stories of him bringing cronies in to jump on the beds in the Whitehouse!

It is truly precious to see and hear his obvious and well spoken feeling of profound respect for the Whitehouse and our government offices.
