Worst President Poll

OT really knows how to pick 'em, huh?

A plurality of voters think Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, a new poll says.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, 33 percent of voters think the current president is the worst since 1945.

Obama’s predecessor, former President George W. Bush, came in at second-worst with 28 percent, and Richard Nixon was in third place with 13 percent of the vote. After Jimmy Carter, who 8 percent of voters said was the worst president in the time period, no other president received more than 3 percent.

Thirty-five percent of voters said Ronald Reagan was the best president since World War II, receiving nearly twice as many votes as any other former president. Bill Clinton came in second place at 18 percent, while John F. Kennedy came in third with 15 percent of the vote and Obama came in fourth with 8 percent saying he was the best.

All other remaining presidents received 5 percent or less. Five percent of voters said Dwight D. Eisenhower was the best president since 1945, while 4 percent said Harry Truman. Lyndon Johnson and George H.W. Bush each received 3 percent. George W. Bush came in at 1 percent.

Forty-five percent of voters said the U.S. would be better off with Mitt Romney serving in the White House, compared to 38 percent who said the country would be in worse shape.

The survey comes as Obama in recent weeks has found his popularity at the lowest levels of his presidency.

The Quinnipiac poll reported more bad news about the president’s approval and competency ratings. Forty percent of voters approve of the job Obama is doing, compared with 53 percent who disapprove. Fifty-four percent of voters say the Obama administration is not competent at running the government.

The survey was conducted June 24-30 with 1,446 registered voters on land lines and cellphones. The margin for error is plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

The population hasn't uncovered all the ways Obama has hurt the country. You know how the Klinton "community reinvestment act" blew up in a bubble that liars like OT blamed on bush, well get ready for decades of lies with everything Obama has messed up.

Well the only thing I can say for all those that are interested, click on the site, read the poll(s) and analyze the results for yourself, probably, (I feel sure) most of you can do basic math. Have a happy 4th.

33% think he is the worst- BUT out of 13 Presidents he ranks #4- which puts him in the top 30 percentile group as the best ... :???:

I do have to agree they have GW in about the right spot- second for being the worst President-- and tied for last with Nixon and Ford at 1% for being best... Even Jimmy Carter beat him....   That is the reason Obama Is President today...

What could happen to reverse Obama's steady slide in the polls? Or has he hit the bottom? If he is up in popularity in upcoming polls, it could be written off as " dead cat bounce".

Buckwheat's got a long time left to convince everyone he's the absolute worst Pres ever. But then if the right takes the Senate this year he may not last that long.

But...but...but...everything's wonderful in Valley county. No unemployment, no immigration problems, and a Dear Leader who has a toady to put out the "message". Maybe that's why the toady is continually talking out his azz, cause his head is way too deep in the sand.

I was just out at Fort Peck Lake- and I wish I would have taken some pictures ... I haven't been out there for awhile, but was stunned by some of the new huge beautiful homes being/that have been built there (some have cost over a million $) ... All the campsites full of big motorhomes (some must go for over $250,000-300,000) and camp trailers... Around the boat ramps it was parked solid for 1/2 mile either way with new pickups and boat trailers... On our way back we met one rancher neighbor- he was in his pickup pulling their new deck boat- his wife was behind in her suburban pulling a trailer with 2 jet skis..
And most these are local people- from this area of the State...

Boats were lined up for a 1/2 mile back waiting to be unloaded at the ramp....As one fellow I talked to at the ramp said- they had just been commenting about the millions $ in boats he'd watched launch in the little time he was there....
We both had to agree the local economy must not be too bad !!

And just how much of all that shite do you suppose is financed to the hilt? It's one thing to finance a home, land, or equipment. Financed toys/vehicles is the sure sign of a retard, IMHO.

He's still hoping to one day move to Alberta...where it hasn't been a "boom" for 8 years, but has just become a way of life.

I set foot in more $million dollar homes in a week, than OT will in his lifetime.

Will visit this home next week...the owner is a home builder, in Calgary.

And he will write me a cheque for more money than OT saw in boat value at Fort Peck.

:D

and that is not an 9 car garage, but a 23 car garage. He's going to stack them 3 deep to conserve space

Looks like the 2 kids will be warm enough in winter, while waiting for the school bus...in the OT sized houses at the end of the laneway.

I took the day off yesterday and travelled to a lake too...

Not a boat in sight, and that was nice...and I will hit another 2 tomorrow. I wonder if it matters up there, who has the most money? I won't have an RV, or boat, with me to show off.

to OT an example of US prosperity is the well off being better off...
record DOW,.. million dollar homes.. ect..

for me it is when the poor are lifted up a bit..

and by all accounts that is not happening...

Obama making poor people poorer, poverty rate breaks 50-year record

From The Washington Times:

Fifty years after President Johnson started a $20 trillion taxpayer-funded war on poverty, the overall percentage of impoverished people in the U.S. has declined only slightly and the poor have lost ground under President Obama.

Although the president often rails against income inequality in America, his policies have had little impact overall on poverty.

Our good friend Benjamin Franklin had good something good to say about this:

“I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”
