Wouldn't This Be Interesting

I just had a brain wave or maybe fart you be the judge-wouldn't it be interesting to do a large scale comparison of longevity, breeding rates etc on various management levels of breeding bulls. What my fevered mind is imagining is getting a large commercial operator the free use of bulls from various breeders-the rub is they'd be backfatted and ran in a large cowherd as a single breeding group-the calves could be dna'ed and matched to the sire to see what management level of bulls bred the most and could be continued to see what bulls lasted the longest. If I was independantly wealthy I'd do it on my own I'd put it together just to see-I better not hit a big lottery win or watch out lol. It would give the corn crib guys and the grass guys a chance to put their bulls where their mouths are.

I actually looked at this, too, NR. Only we were going to use flush brothers that were managed on two planes of nutrition. Might still do it sometime.
