State representatives on Friday advanced legislation to launch a study into what Wyoming should do in the event of a complete economic or political collapse in the United States.

House Bill 85 passed on first reading by a voice vote. It would create a state-run government continuity task force, which would study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes, from disruptions in food and energy supplies to a complete meltdown of the federal government.

The task force would look at the feasibility of Wyoming issuing its own alternative currency, if needed. And House members approved an amendment Friday by state Rep. Kermit Brown, R-Laramie, to have the task force also examine conditions under which Wyoming would need to implement its own military draft, raise a standing army, and acquire strike aircraft and an aircraft carrier.

The bill's sponsor, state Rep. David Miller, R-Riverton, has said he doesn't anticipate any major crises hitting America anytime soon. But with the national debt exceeding $15 trillion and protest movements growing around the country, Miller said Wyoming — which has a comparatively good economy and sound state finances — needs to make sure it's protected should any unexpected emergency hit the U.S.

I read this the other day-- and while disapproving because of the entire doomsday promoters who are surving/thriving/profitteering off promoting the doomsday predictions-- and selling Billions of $ of products to folks off fearmongering--------- and want to promote the image that the country will fail-------
It also gave me a good laugh to see how satirical the Wyoming legislature really is--- when they add in an Aircraft Carrier... :???:
Are they afraid of global warming melting the ice caps and making them a coastal state- or a Tsunami that will go over the Rockies :???:

Where will they park this Aircraft Carrier-- the flats of Casper :???:

Pretty soon they will have a bigger attack force than Canada's Skidoo Seal Team   :p

Yep FH- you would fit right into someone that would gobble this up- hook, line, and sinker...When/IF you get the money back from the runaway house you lost in the Bush Bust-- think of the Survivalist stuff you can buy...

good article FH, gets a person thinking.

The US owns many aircraft carriers and they are parked in ports all over the world. Maybe they could contract some space from Texas, who would also be looking at doing much the same, if SHTF

It does bring the point home about the taxpayers being the owners of these pieces of equipment

and OT, our "skidoo seal team" didn't have any problem kicking your butts 200 years ago.

THIS from a so-called "moderator"? What an asshole.

calling OT an asshole is an insult to all the rest of the assholes!

he is a complete waste of sperm.

I was thinking the other day along these lines. It is time for the state militias to get well funded and well organized. Contemporary equipment with contemporary capabilities. It will have multiple effects.

One being that it will give people in each state a sense of taking back power that has been stolen from them. You will see a rise in true patriotism and the spirit of America.

Sometimes you just have to stand up to a Bully and punch the SOB right in the nose.

Wyoming is known for taking a stand against the 'politically correct'
for a long, long time. I've always respected how the state is run.

And OT, I bet you Wyoming knows just where to put an aircraft carrier
or they wouldn't have mentioned it. How long has it been since you
have been to a larger town in Wyoming? They aren't still fighting the
Indians there...

Thanks, guys, for your support. :D

Let's see you say you disapprove of doomsday promoters profiting. Do we need to remind you of who you have been defending Oldtimer?
a guy that says

the Earth is going flood due to global warming if something isn't done right NOW and everyome
Children are going to DIE in the streets if they are not provided with free health care,

Families are going to be split up if amnesty is not given to illegals.
