Made it thru the storm and the cold spell without the old girls starting calving :D 15 Below here this morning- now 2 Above already at 10AM on its way to near 30...Predicting 10 Above for tonite and 30's-40's-50's for the next 15 days..

Geese were going over today headed north when I was feeding...

Opened the gate and let the old gals that were springing I had sorted off and lotted out- let them get er done on their own...

Since I haven't seen town in a couple of weeks- I may have to take in the bred cow sale for awhile and maybe stop at the waterhole and hear all the news I been missing ....

This slow melt and the freezing at night are sure making it icy out there. I don't think I will be horse back for a few days as this country is greasy when wet. :D Wet is good. :D

OT, you sound pretty optimistic today, glad for ya'.

Yep- I actually think this may be winter finally breaking...Geese flying over all morning, skunk in the barn--the signs are looking better...
Had 4 grandkids (and 2 of their friends) out today- and they had a ball- older ones playing in the haystacks- little ones riding with grandpa on the 4 wheeler to check cows...We've all been cooped up too long....

Went to the bred cow sale yesterday and everyone must be expecting lots of grass....Bred cows were $300-400 higher than what they were selling for in the fall...Good demand- top young bred cows sold for $1260...Shorttermers were $700+...
