We started the day by finding a dead calf that appears to have choked on afterbirth. We actually found what was left as the coyotes were half done. Then we branded some yearlings (Dad sticking the brands)
And added some jewelry

Which can be a dangerous place
A late night image of a calf I had to pull with his foot back. The cow is a 20 year old daughter of P S Powerplay. This is the first time we have touched her, other than regular vaccinations in 20 years. Calf and mom are fine.
The ending of the day was better than the start.
